Democrats are losing the message war

It is not 'we' who are misinformed. After all, you neve question your bias or the bias that feeds you.

Good luck.
I certainly do and I watch Fox and used to Rush. All garbage. Everyone knows it but Fox/whateverbots...Check out PBS now. Your global warming hoax lol. Most of you ignoramuses CAN'T change the channel....You are dupes of Big Money big oil health pharma and obsess about fantasies like election/vax/mask/gw/Dem Hate fraud. Scariest thing since Nazis capitalism, and damn close...

As a left leaning Independent, I take no joy in announcing this, but it's time to face an unpleasant fact:

No matter if you love him or hate him, few will argue that Donald Trump was pretty good at getting his message out. His message frequently made peoples blood boil, but no one would accuse Trump of being camera shy. Unfortunately, Joe Biden's low key, plodding persona, and (less than) dynamic speeches have slowly eroded his popularity and poll numbers to dismal levels. It's no secret that Republicans will slam Biden, no matter what he does (even if he occasionally backs policies once supported by Trump) but now even swing voters are turning against Biden, and by extension, Democratic candidates. In today's political world where messaging is more important than policy, intellect, logic or even sanity, the Democrats need a new messenger, and badly. The one they now have is losing the message war. :dunno:

Yes, Democrats may currently be losing the "message" war - but they are currently winning the "doing" war. They have time to strengthen their "message" war. Sadly, many voter only digest the "message" - not the "doing".

That conservatives perceive political debate and discourse to be ‘war’ is both telling and disturbing.

Such is the right’s contempt for facts, the truth, and the political process.

Better now than October. A lot can change, but the right seems to be rooting for the country to go downhill. I guess it’s the thought of 1/6 and Putin-love clips running 24/7 that has them all in a tizzy!
Democrats losing control of Congress this year will actually benefit them come 2024 – by then voters will be sick of the GOP and remember why they hate Republicans.

And indeed, a lot can happen in the next two years.

The thing is - Dems wouldn't have to go that far. There are plenty of R's, holding their nose and voting for Trumpsters, because they are utterly fed up with the Dems identity politics and their focus on social engineering. Democrats could say - "Ok, we hear you. We're going back off on that shit and shoot for policies that have broad appeal", and they would win handily. For some reason, they can't bring themselves to do that. Even when it means turning the country over to authoritarian populists.
Of course they still are for those policies. It is not news for journalists, and RW propaganda only does hate bs...

It's called reality, not conspiracy hate bs...

Messaging is not the problem the policies are the problem no amount of messaging is going to make bad policies appealing to the public. This is a trap both parties fall into they try and find ways of selling bad policies to the public instead of changing course and trying a different policy.

Yeah, they are "doing" us right into the ground.

Oh it's beyond messaging. The Left is losing on every front. Even the culture, as I have been saying.

It's called the media and universities.

Republicans generally suck but free speechdom/conservatism, maybe Constitutional-ism is almost the counter-cultural movement that is ascendent.

Another year of this and college students are going to think Woke is so lecturing, uptight 30 yo. Oh. And they would be absolutely correct.
