My racism?
My wife is black and nearly half my family is Native-American.
My aunt is Korean.....so I even have Asians who call me uncle....never mind all of the black kids that do the same.

I have been, since Obama ran the first time against Romney, saying there ain't a dimes worth of difference in policy- different rhetoric is used to sell it, but, the results are the same, which greatly parallel Nazi Germany, (the first time I said that, several years ago, I was attaked form every angle available on a message board, not this one BTW), especially when considering the State controlled media- then, consider The Patriot Act, which BOTH sides love, and eviscerate the 4th amendment- and BOTH subscribe to Borrow to Spend, i.e., a top down economy developed/theorized for the Monarchy of England- yet, here we are, allegedly educated and arguing about a figure head who is constitutionally bound- a constitution neither side adheres to- and the msm parrots = parallel to Nazi Germany- a National Socialist Party. So, are we arguing literal, or what? I guess, since the US is exceptional, we have to have our own totalitarian definition- correct?
I doubt the congress critters who voted for the 14th amendment to be passed dreamed that we would be so far down a rabbit hole we can't get out-
All that said- you can't kill them all, and they can't kill all of us- but, with help from the msm they do and can keep we the stinky tourists divided-
While this forum isn't a scientific poll- I bet it's representation is not to far from an accurate assessment about the divide- and continuing to castigate each other serves into their plan(s) quite nicely- but, we call ourselves educated, sophisticated and exceptional, while publicly displaying the opposite-

I don't know if this forum is an accurate assessment on the divide. I'm not even sure yet if it's an accurate assessment of the American mindset?
Another forum I post in gives a totally different assessment of the American mindset. Forums seem to attract extremes that will be comfortable with the forum's politics. This one is attractive to me because it's the extreme right braying loudly. But unattractive because it's also mostly low intelligence.
Did I miss one of your points that you consider important enough to repost?
Fwiw, I think America has it's share of intelligent people. Maybe hugely biased politics steals from the intelligence being more obvious?

Are ordinary Americans hurting enough yet to justify in their minds more drastic measures be taken to stop black people from gaining anything resembling equality?

First, we have to be able to understand each other's position on whether Covid is a fake virus or a killer virus released on the world by China. Two choices for you. You really do have to choose if you don't want to look like a frustrated child spewing hate and racism. Is it possible to choose? is it possible for a Jackass to not love his own bray the most?
My choice is a third one because I think it's just one of many viruses or even plagues that have originated in many different countries, including from the US. That's because some of the new strains are originating in the US and being passed on to other countries. Lucky for other countries they have the sense to turn what could be into nothing more than a less virile strain of the flu. For instance, China limited it's deaths to Covid to about 5000 people.
Unfortunately for Canada, we were only able to limit the deaths to about half of the US's, per captia adjusted.

I have no idea of the original intent- the results speak for themselves- A State- not Individual States- it makes legal that all states have to abide by The federal constitution- I don't know if that was the ideology behind it or not- to heal means to mend- we were set up as Individual States and the Federal Constitution is rules for the federal Government- each state had to agree to it, the contract as some call it, before being annexed into the Union, and have their own set of rules (constitution) for them, whatever state is in question.
In some cases, like the 2nd amendment, the 14th is a good thing- but, as with anything the fed gov't does, there is always a price to pay- in the case of the 14th, *sovereignty went out the window-
In another scenario, there used to be a poster here who posted an immigration argument from the SC, stating inalienable rights are grants and privileges- basically eliminating unalienable rights, which are inherent- big difference. Inalienable makes rights a tangible commodity- they ain't. But, people argue that unalienable rights don't exist- ????? They don't exist physically, which is why they can only be restricted or ignored- they cannot, however, be taken, or given, or passed on or sold, or bought- inalienable rights, according to the courts, are grants and privileges= both can be taken because they were given.
*an aside: sovereignty is a hot button issue with me- because the fed gov't never even considers it until it suits a particular agenda- IOW, they (the fed gov't) tout it for wars abroad and ignore it at home- never mind that the 4th amendment is pretty explicit and has the only caveat in the Bill of Rights- which is an ambiguous- probable cause-
There is an anecdote rarely invoked- the 10th amendment- it is mostly ignored in the Individual states- why? Beats me-

There are more important issues to deal with than guns and gun murders. The guns are only a part of the approaching turn to fascism in America.
The George Floyd murder by cops on the streets in plain view and the method used could clinch the question. If the cop walks then the law has lost all effectiveness and can then be ignored.
A country that will allow that to happen will just as easily throw a black child in jail for stealing a candy out of the corner store.

I'll comment briefly on your remarks on your 14th. amendment. Just briefly because I may not be fully interpreting your points. To me your 14th. amendment seems to attempt to deal with some irreconcilable differences between states. It comes off to me as an issue to talk about because the differences were never reconciled in my opinion. In a nutshell, without getting into it too deeply for a foreigner, the union is showing definite signs of failure for that reason. The American south are unable to accept black people as equal American citizens. If you're not getting an acceptable answer out of me, please try again. I assure you I'm not trying to dodge anything.
Of course I have to agree with that in principle, it could be seen as a motherhood issue. But we musn't allow extremism to hide behind motherhood's apron. I'm also saying that I don't quite understand your purpose in telling me all that?
Are you making the 'obvious' plain to me or are you about to claim justification of extremism as you hide behind 'motherhood'. We'll only learn your motives when you get around to talking specifics on left/right agendas in America.
Me being a Canadian is going to allow me to take a moderate position. I hope you can agree with that and respect it. But make it known loud and clear if you consider me to be politically biased.
