But we will stand in judgement for the personal choices we make here on earth as mortals and that judgement will decide where we will be in the hereafter.

the original goal granted a&e after their choice for self determination than servitude by the heavens is to triumph between good vs evil and only after that is accomplished would they be granted a judgement for their accomplishment as the only means for admission to the everlasting. all else is subjective to other purposes.

what jesus conveyed in the 1st century - to sin no more.

It isn't about sinning but about having internalized a temptation to act against laws.

another words sinning ...

- there are no laws in the heavens, everlasting as there is no evil.

So was the Edenic existence an immortal existence?
According to Jewish lore, yes. Or at least the potential of immortality. One reason for their expulsion was to prevent them from eating of the tree of life.

Do you believe Adam and Eve ever existed? Do you believe that they were immortal before the fall led on by the partaking of the forbidden fruit? I was under the impression that Jews believed in the old testament. Do you not believe in the Old Testament? Just curious.
Belief in Torah is not quite your belief in the Bible. It is not always a literal read. There are many facets to Torah. Adam and Eve is a story about our nascent interaction with G-d. The fruit of the tree of knowledge was a test. Rabbis have been debating forever wehter we passed the test or not. Actually, they have been debating what the test was.

Of course.

But the concept in Judaism is very different from Christianity. In Christianity, the idea is that Jesus “died for your sins” and that all you need to do is….believe. (And if you don’t believe, you will never see Heaven.)
Some Protestant Christian sects (beginning in the 14th century) do boldly proclaim this now. However, it is far different in Catholic/Orthodox Christianity whose roots go back to first century. These two churches are more closely aligned with Judaism--not to say the two are the same.

Jesus' differences were with some of the Temple Authorities in his day. Jesus was insisting that it was repentance (turning away from sins) that results in God's forgiveness of sins. And, he outright told people, "Your sins are forgiven."

This annoyed the powers-that-be for two reasons. Only God could forgive sins; the Temple (and Rome) liked money coming into the Temple in the form of sacrifices offered for sins.

Jesus insisted he did have the authority to announce the forgiveness of sins. Temple authorities said there was no sign from God of this new covenant between God and man. (The sign of a new covenant was usually blood.) Jesus gave his own blood as the sign his words were indeed of God: Repentance for the forgiveness of sins.

In Judaism, nobody else can absorb your sins. If you sin against a person, you must seek forgiveness from that person. If you sin against Gd, you must seek forgiveness from him.
Seek forgiveness by turning away from that sin and atone by becoming obedient to God.

Also, one must do more than simply ask forgiveness. One must atone. This involves a vow to never repeat that sin, of course, but also to take some type of action to offset it, to whatever degree possible.
Yes. Jesus taught we are also to discern the will of God and to follow/be obedient to it.

I don't suspect it ... I KNOW it.
A couple members of my family are deeply into genealogy and have done a lot of study.

you know you are a jew and there's nothing you can do about your situation - you have no choice being born that way to be implicated the same as their false commandments, hereditary idolatry, religion of apartheid, false heavenly personifications et al ... good luck.

- maybe your family made a mistake.

"Nothing you can do about your situation"?

What situation is that? Are you some grandson of a nazi or something, such an odd and irrational dislike of all religion but especially the Abrahamic faiths. Perhaps you are some radical Buddhist or something.

You exude a weird energy.

I'm not sure how to answer the poll since I already know much more detailed information about myself. I used to think maybe I was around 1/8 Jewish. My maternal grandmother looked kind of Jewish and her father came from Poland so I thought there was a good possibility of it. However I eventually took one of those genetic tests and found out that I'm only 1% Jewish. My grandmother was VERY Polish and I have more than 25% myself. If I am 1% Jewish then my grandmother was probably around 4% Jewish which still isnt much. According to Ancestry.com, all my Jewishness came via my mother, and I doubt that my mother's father had any, as he was a from a long line of Norse-Celtic people from the northern British Isles. My father was German, from Germany...but Ancestry.com doesn't show any Jewishness coming from him either. My grandmother's family also had some very old links to Russia, so I'd bet what little Jewishness I have came from there.

Breezewood is one of the forum’s most blatant Jew-haters.

Me too.

What I find, sadly, that if I point out the traits that enabled poor, uneducated immigrant Jews from shtels in Eastrrn Europe to move from NYC tenements to home ownership out on Long Island in the span of a single generation - strong emphasis on higher education, a strong family unit, motivation, discipline, etc. - I am screamed at as being a racist.

That’s the Left for you. In order to excuse the bad behavior and failings of the underclsss, they have to demonize those of us who overcame abject poverty to move into the upper-middle class.

Explains why the Left hates Jews.

Well, unlike you, I'm not filled full of antisemitic hatred.
I have two step daughters who married Jewish guys and they're from simply wonderful families.

I would like to begin my application for Israeli citizenship so that I have dual Canadian and Israeli citizenship. I feel that since 1990 I was given something of an information download or information dump either from The G-d of Abraham, [or perhaps from the Evil Inclination], G-d knows who I am getting information from but.....

I have in my head nothing less than a series of films that are meant to bring Shalom to the Holy Land, [not only to Israel, but also to all of the Islamic nations as well]!

In my opinion the ultimate Rabbi for me to be mentored by would be near death experiencer and Orthodox Jewish Rabbi Alon Anava?

unlike you some are free to make their own choices and self determination as the repudiation of judaism the reason for the first century events - not really having anything to do otherwise w/ the three false desert religions.

Hold on a second. Judaism is a religion. How the **** can a DNA test prove what anyone past, present, or future believes? Someone is lying and there are three choices who it might be.
Today, Judaism is a religion. In biblical times, it was an ethnicity. Jews were of Judah, descendents of Jacob.

They're extinct now.

and so in reality is their religion - whatever it is that is their state sponsored enclave. a pardon for the criminal.
