That is an issue because the man is POTUS and he's thus been entrusted to act on behalf of the U.S., not on behalf of Donald Trump and his friends, family and former business associates/partners. Not knowing the full nature of his dealings with Russians creates uncertainty and leaves in question that which should be crystal clear in all respects to the entirety of the U.S. electorate.
