1. The 43,000 vote number is hypothetical but the real minimum, as opposed to the 6m vote plurality I've seen (71m-65m) if the popular vote elected presidents. The 43,000 vote margin implies that the country is closely divided and we do NOT want major changes unless they are bi-partisan.
