Congressional Budget Office says the "Big Beautiful Bill" would give to the rich and take away from the poor

Hate to say to all you Trump fanboys, but you're going got get figuratively ass raped again.

Over 1,000 pages, no spending cuts of any significance, no bureaucracies neutered or eliminated, the SALT provisions will be done away with (thereby restoring a defacto subsidy for high tax states of CA, NY, and IL), $2 trillion deficits for as far as the eye can see, more gimmicks and smoke-filled room payoffs, ad nauseum.

Your wormy and weak Speaker of the House sandbagged you for over three months, only to now run around with his ass on fire because the bill is due....Then this shit heap will get passed onto the Senate, where they'll throw in their customary heaping helping of pork and a few hundred more pages.

Then Trump will come out and sign it without hesitation, and go on about how this fucking travesty is the best thing to happen since pizza met beer.

Hate to say that DOGE was all a performance art pro rasslin' side show....Y'all have been had again.

That's my opinion, no link required.

At least they are wiping out "welfare." But, boy are they hurting their own cult members. Just think of the bubbas living in rural, run down trailer parks that are going to lose their health benefits and food stamps. Look at their rural supporters, who voted for Trump out of ignorance, losing their ability to live a decent life. Well, you get what you vote for, so no complaining.

Richly deserved by all the maga chumps! Bigly!!!

But of course!

Why are you holding back?

More bad legislation from the right.

Republicans are incapable of sound, responsible governance.
Wrong again facediaper. We believe assistance programs are temporary until the "poor" can take off their facediapers, leave mommy's basement, and be responsible for themselves.

Geez I just read another thread by a dembot talking about how there are massive cuts and gonna hurt the poor and kill health care and babies

A fresh analysis from the Congressional Budget Office said the tax provisions would increase the federal deficit by $3.8 trillion over the decade, while the changes to Medicaid, food stamps and other services would tally $1 trillion in reduced spending. The lowest-income households in the U.S. would see their resources drop, while the highest ones would see a boost, the CBO said.

Of course, the repubs wanted to pass the bill without the insight of the CBO. But the Dems asked for an analysis. It is no surprise the bill will be opposite of Robin Hood's venture. The repubs, as usual, are shooting themselves in the foot. If this bill passes, as it is, there will be a red bloodbath in 2026, beginning in November in Virginia. This bill, coupled with the inflation expected from trump's tariffs will seal the deal.
So jimboliar may have to finally get a job? Oh the horror!

Yours is the party of ass-raping.

That is far too simplistic a view. And the pass it on is sheer bullshit. Did they pass on the savings from the corporate tax cut they got last time? Hell no. It increased rent seeking, increased corporate risk aversion, generated more stock buybacks and market consolidation
I know there is much pro corporation schemes in the financial sector that allow corps to take risks with government watching their back and ultimately bailing them out

But I dont approve of that any more than you do

Otherwise I am pro business all the way

Geez I just read another thread by a dembot talking about how there are massive cuts and gonna hurt the poor and kill health care and babies

There are massive cuts to health care and nutrition for the poor, as well as to Medicare. And it massively blows up the budget deficit, adding trillions to it.

Something for everyone.

Weird cause the OP here says there isn’t any meaningful cuts

Maybe yall should wait til after the Rachal Maddow show tonight so you all have one message

Any time Republicans propose tax cuts for everyone, the democrats cry "tax on the poor, gift for the rich!"

Here is a credible link that projects about $510b a year after all the new tariffs kick-in. Enough to cover the deficit.

"Over the next decade, Penn-Wharton projects the U.S. will gain $5.1 trillion in revenue. Even if all that money went to paying down the deficit, however, Smetters suggests it would be an economic loss for the country."
Funny, I had the study up already. 14 billion dollars above CBO's original projection. Half way through the fiscal year, not impressed and sure not going to cover the deficit. As the article mentioned, much of that was from accelerating the throughput before the tariffs kicked in.

This budget should be DOA, and if it does manage to pass, then we are SOL. This budget literally takes money out of the pockets of the poorest and presents it to the wealthiest. Even being so bold as to openly do it, as well as use the usual backdoor of cutting benefits.

Two times in history, at least recent history, taxes have been cut for the wealthy while increased for the poor. Ronald Reagan and Obama. It never works out.

They'll mean a lot to the people suffering under them, they just won't mean anything to the exploding budget deficit.
I just don’t know what dembot line to believe, yours or the OPs

I don't believe any of that shitlib standard boilerplate whining and crying that you're talking about.

I'm pointing out that everything that has been promised by Trump and the MAGA fanboys is not going to be in the final bill.....You're getting shafted without grease and don't care.

Maybe you should read the CBO report.

• An increase in the federal deficit of $3.8 trillion attributable to tax changes, including extending provisions of the 2017 tax act, which includes revenues and outlays for refundable credits.
• $698 billion less in federal subsidies from changes to the Medicaid program.
• $267 billion less in federal spending for SNAP.

Who do you think is going to make up for those Medicaid subsidies? States are either going to have to replace that lost funding, or they are going to have to cut the program. Here in North Carolina, those lost subsidies mean the Medicaid expansion is over, back to the way it was. Millions will lose coverage, and that is how the law is written TODAY. It is automatic.

Rural hospitals, they are FUBARED. Expect even more closing, and due to lack of access to emergency medical care, people are going to die. And those SNAP benefit cuts, who is going to pay for them? Children, that is who, food insecurity will only multiply. There are counties within this state where almost 50% of the children live in poverty. It is those children that are going to pay for these tax cuts to the wealthy.
