The only reason I can come up with is that, even though their reputations are soiled beyond redemption in Normal World, they probably will be able to get work later in MAGA world and be a hero.

There's a lot of stuff that I don't understand about this cult, and that's an example.

Why didn't Durham indict him or any of the Big Fish Benedict Donald wants in jail? They are not really looking to convict anyone. There was no new investigation. No new damning evidence.
