There have been a lot of loud media voices over a single hot day in Siberia that was a lie since there is no RECOREDED evidence that it was 100F on June 20.

You can't imagine satellites being around that day or what?

The World Meteorological Organization has not previously verified possible records for the "highest temperature recorded north of the Arctic Circle," but is considering creating such a category given the "interest in this extreme observation," the agency said.

And getting anywhere near that hot in Siberia would obviously be newsworthy. Snowing in Siberia? - not so much.
