Hiw disappointed will you be if trump succeeds?Nope, as I said, I anticipate his failure.
They're a cult.
Donald J Trump is in a dangerous state, if this continues this is going to bring great harm to America and the next four years will be a disaster for the country! President Elect Trump needs to have a large scale attitude adjustment he needs to stop becoming untethered to what is good, you mention to people the "beyond the pale" things President Trump is planning to do and people say O they are negotiating ploys he isn't going to go through with them, don't worry. Sorry, people need to get worried and voice their opinions that this stuff is wrong and if they have power use that power to push President Trump back to the path of good. Take for instance his plan to put twenty-five percent tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico, that is an outstanding bad thing to do. On Canada tariffs his thinking is way off he is not thinking things through; what his real ambition is with respect to Canada is largely to shut down Canada's energy exports to America and replace it with America produced energy so America can get the money but it is not as simple as he thinks and his plans won't succeed. First, although Canada ships a huge amount of oil to America per day around 4.6 million per the US EIA it would not be easy for America to replace this with domestic production because eighty percent of the Canadian oil imported is heavy crude and America's refineries are set-up to process this grade not light low sulfur grade of oil. Really Trump's only practical option to replace this Canadian crude quickly is bring on more production from the Gulf of Mexico because increased production in the continental U.S. would require pipeline construction and that will take a lot of time because of understandable local public opposition because U.S. pipeline construction companies have a spotty track record of not polluting the environment and the big problem with this option is that production from the Gulf of Mexico produces light sweet crude oil which as stated American available refinery capacity would not be able to refine this grade of oil. Most importantly, oil production companies and oil refinery companies are not going to want to invest the time and money to replace Canadian imports when in all probability the next Presidential Administration will lift the tariffs and stop this short-sighted trade war with Canada. Plus, Mr. Trump and his far-right wing allies in Congress are misreading the majority of the American public; most Americans want to increase domestic production to wrest control of gasoline prices from OPEC PLUS which manipulates supply to jack-up prices. Most Americans aren't concerned about cutting American imports of oil from Canada they recognize oil production as potentially dangerous to the environment and aren't interested at putting America's environment at risk beyond what is necessary and Americans are a smart people they know that America and the world is transitioning from the combustion engine there is no need to be doubling down on fossil fuel production when the industry will steadily be shrinking over time as the world transitions to renewable energy. The U.S. media needs to be outing the Trump administration about their plans here and be reporting does their plan make any sense what does the U.S oil industry think what do the target production communities think what do the target refinery communities think; yesterday the Wall Street Journal had an article providing evidence that many officials in Canada really think President Trump is going to implement this master plan to replace Canada's portion of the America's domestic energy with American producers this is a 7.8 magnitude economic earthquake considering the trade-war that will ensue and all the other fallout how about really covering this story the U.S. media!
With respect to the tariffs against Mexico, Donald Trump is not thinking this through. For significant portions of Mexico, huge criminal organizations that run drugs and extortion, etc. control those portions of Mexico - the government is practically non-existent, if Trump imposes across the board 25% tariffs on Mexico's exports to America he will tank the Mexican economy dramatically increasing unemployment and poverty and decreasing the Mexican governments resources to fight crime and thereby strengthen these criminal organizations hands which will likely increase and strengthen drug trafficking and illegal immigration into the U.S. From Mexico (Trump's moves could turn the entirety of the country over to these expansive criminal organizations. The Mexican government over the last nine months has dramatically increased its efforts to stop illegal immigration to the U.S. through Mexico if there is other specific activities that they should be doing to be a responsible neighbor country to America and after negotiations to try to acquire cooperation the Trump administration wants to impose targeted tariffs commensurate with Mexico's failure here by all means the Trump administration should do it but a large scale trade war with Mexico should not be on the table!
The powers that be in the country need to communicate to Donald Trump to stop with the really extreme and "detached from what is good" ideas he has been shocking everyone with, the country and President Trump has really serious issues to address that are going to need all of his attention he cannot be going off with these half-baked ideas the country's challenges here are enormous that of extending the debt limit and at the same time extending the 2017 individual tax rates and paying for them so Washington doesn't bring on a sovereign debt crisis that will rival the danger of the Great Recession. President Trump needs to stop with threats of taking over the Panama Canal; it is part of the sovereign country of Panama. If the canal fee of approximately $750K/per ship is exorbitant prove it does the Panamanian government get over forty percent of the canal's yearly profit what is the cost per ship to do the alternative and take the three week trip around South America. If the transit fee is unfairly large how about banning ships that use the canal from using U.S. ports for a time or do three months on and off bans to cut the canal's income and push them to be fair in how much they charge. If the U.S. military takes over and retains the Canal how much will that cost and how many American soldiers will die from terrorist attacks on U.S. troops handling security in Panama as ordinary Panamanian are angry over the sovereignty violations of their country. Why does America want to take on more security responsibility in taking over "Greenland" when it is doing a deficient job in fulfilling its current responsibilities, America is short of money for Defense. America needs to buy missiles at a rate and not only now but for the long-term where it has more production lines operating than today so that if America gets into a war it doesn't run out of missiles. America's shipyards are currently falling behind on production for lack of skilled labor and the President wants to make moves where America will need to build more ships. America is woefully ill prepared to defend Taiwan, a vital economic and political ally of America ,from an invasion from China which we know this invasion is coming in Chi the head of China's lifetime; we desperately need weapons of multiple types for this problem and the U.S. government is scrambling for money for this mission and the White House wants to take on the huge unnecessary task of securing Greenland!
Members of Congress need to stop being paralyzed by and in a fog of fear, give President Donald J. Trump a wake-up call let him know he has to be responsible and stop acting like an authoritative leader that doesn't belong anywhere near the Presidency of the United States, a good and law-abiding country. To this end, the Senate needs to vote down a handful of President-elect Trumps atrociously bad nominees for confirmed roles in his government so he will get the message. Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense for one. The guy does not have the training and experience to give the President a trustworthy second opinion besides that of the head of the Joint Chief of Staff on "battle plans" America should adopt in time of war. You cannot trust the guy if President Trump gives an illegal order for Secretary Hegseth to refuse to obey because it is against the Constitution, Hegseth sees his role as being unquestionably obedient. What if President Trump gets tired of negotiating with Panama or Denmark and just orders the Secretary of Defense to send in U.S. Troops and take it over and the U.S. Congress has not approved it or declared war or anything like it. The Senate should subpoena that married women who in 2017 made an allegation that Pete Hegseth sexually assaulted her have the hearing be closed door and apparently there needs to be a subpoena to break the non-disclosure agreement and if she testifies Hegseth secretly drugged here before he raped her that should be considered enough to kill his nomination for the U.S. military has a very serious problem of sexual assault where men and women acting as patriotic Americans in joining the U.S. military end up sexually assaulted and of course tragically injured from the incident and the American government needs to continually make an outstanding effort to stop this extreme evil and not confirming perpetrators of such wrongs as Secretary of Defense is and must be considered a given to this end! Robert Kennedy should not be confirmed as Secretary of Health and Human Services the problem that should be considered insurmountable with Mr. Kennedy is he just doesn't have the intelligence to do the job. That job requires a person of great intelligence that can process and utilize a lot of scientific knowledge to make good decisions and can convey confidence in his judgment to the American public when they hear him speak and Robert just does not have this intelligence. There has been instances where he has spoken about the scope of harm to the nation's children from the food supply and other things and it seems like a severely mentally ill homeless person is talking because of his inaccurate reasoning. If Robert gets confirmed one can be guaranteed significant bad decisions will be made because of this shortcoming of Robert's!
tRump is already on the path of disaster.
Not exactly.
You people have become so dumbed down in order to praise your leader
Formally Addressing the Former President
When addressing a former President of the United States in a formal setting, the correct form is “Mr. LastName.” (“President LastName” or “Mr. President” are terms reserved for the current head of state.) This is true for other ex-officials, as well. When talking about the person to a third party, on the other hand, it’s appropriate to say, “former President LastName.” This holds for introductions, as well: A current state governor is introduced as “Governor Tom Smith,” while you’d introduce an ex-governor as “former Governor Jim Bell.”
That doesn't actually enter the picture.Hiw disappointed will you be if trump succeeds?
As a lib you must like surprisesThat doesn't actually enter the picture.
I will not be surprised. the outcome of the next four years is a plain as the dye on tRump's face.As a lib you must like surprises
Really, it was Trump who delivered the House and Senate MAJORITY to the Republicans they own him BIG TIME!Congress Needs To Stop Cowing To President Trump!
Of course they do. Trump makes Democrats look like stupid amateurs with his leadership and achievements. Seriously, Kamala Harris as POTUS? Put some dimwit dipshit in that job who lacks any career accomplishments of note? Trump vs Kamala or Trump vs Biden or Trump vs Obama it's not even a contest. You hope he fails
