I'm sorry, but when you have Federal Government conversations on an Email serve, less secure than what a 10-year-old can setup on Google....... that's no longer a "Russia Influence" problem. That's a politician incompetence problem.

Quite frankly, that's the only lesson that needs learned from this ordeal.

This is my personal theory, but I bet I'm right. Russia has a massively long history of spending a time and effort on influence things that directly effect them.

I've tried to figure out what they really hoped to gain from this influence, and the answer is not much. If you think Trump is going get into office, and say "Ok you can have Ukraine now, and we're disbanding NATO" You are crazy.

No one who isn't a partisan mindless hack, could possibly buy that. So what do you think Russia stands to gain from this?

I bet you the real reason for Russia hacking Clinton's Email server, is far simpler and easier to get.

What is the one key thing Russia has been focused on, for the last three years? Ukraine.

And what has been the consistent claim put out by Russia for 3 years, about the Ukraine government?

They claim we overthrew the Ukraine government.

If anyone would know about any plots to overthrow the Ukraine government, outside the CIA.... it would be the State Department, headed by Hillary Clinton.

If I were a betting man, I would put one paycheck down, that the real singular reason the Russians either hacked, or attempted to hack Clinton's Email, had nothing to do with an election they couldn't care less about.... they wanted proof we plotted to overthrow the Ukraine government. So they could drum up support for the seperatists in Eastern Ukraine, and curtail further US intervention in "their back yard" as it were.

I highly doubt Putin really gave a crap about Clinton or Trump. I wager Clinton could be easily manipulated anyway. Remember 1998? Bill Clinton was convinced we needed to intervene for national security in Iraq.... but was scared off by some protestors at a open meeting. Clinton's are easily manipulated.

Trump may actually more difficult to handle. But if he could prove we overthrew the Ukraine government, world opinion would swing against us. Putin would have a much easier time stomping around Ukraine.

Clinton's email server wasn't hacked though.

Fair enough...the leaked e-mails came from the DNC, not the Clinton server.
There is no evidence that their server was hacked despite examination by the FBI.

But no one knows who did it, Wikileaks stated that so it's bs and what exactly was the influence?

I haven't accused Russia of anything or speculated on the influence on the election.
