Here's the problem for China with "bringing down the West." The countries comprising the West are the ones most of China's consumer goods are exported to. Hurting those country's ability to purchase Chinese goods hurts China.

That fact may be about the only saving grace with respect to its ownership of so much of our debt. It could do significant harm to the US should it stop buying and or start selling the debt they hold. It would cause US bond yields to rise, making the issuance of future debt more expensive for us by having to pay a higher interest rate.

But if China breaks us, it essentially breaks itself. Therefore, the Right's hated global economy may be the only thing saving the US from China pulling the proverbial rug out from under us.

The problem with this assessment is China´s growing market and technology. The time will come and China will no longer be dependent on us. It is maybe already the case.

Be prepared for more mines in America. It should be illuminating to see where they’re allowed to mine. In the past places of natural beauty were off limits, but under a Trump regime it’s likely the only verboten spots will be the areas inhabited by the 1%.

Until 2023, China produced 99 percent of the world’s supply of heavy rare earth metals, with a trickle of production coming out of a refinery in Vietnam. But that refinery has been closed for the past year because of a tax dispute, leaving China with a monopoly.

The United States cannot produce the designated minerals at a sufficient scale and exempted them from tariffs in recognition of their importance. The PRC accounted for approximately 70 percent of US rare earth imports from 2020 to 2023 and approximately 70 percent of world mine production of rare earths in 2024. The PRC is leveraging this global dominance to coerce the United States.[1] The PRC Ministry of Commerce stated that the PRC “will fight to the end” and described the US threat of additional tariffs as “blackmail.” This came after the PRC imposed additional export controls against the United States acquiring other critical materials in December 2024 and February 2025 in response to US trade measures.[2]

As far as the Tariffs, he decided to go all-in all across the world all at once knowing the vast majority of nations tariffing us would come running to cut a deal. And they're coming in droves to maintain good relations with the USA

Xi and the CCP are the ones off on the far, far end of the branch and they are sawing off behind them. Xi is three terms into a 2 term Presidency and has SEVERAL HUNDRED MILLION VERY UNHAPPY CITIZENS. Citizens already asking, "what exactly are we getting from the CCP?"
