That is largely because Catholics are "perfectionists" (or should be)
"Be perfect, as your Father in Heavne is perfect" (Mt 5:48)
so yeh... all this trying to reach perfection can drive u bonkers...
So that's why I now appreciate St Faustina more than ever. Her focus was on Christ's (undeserved) mercy
There will come a day... I mean a Day when Jesus will return and that will be as a JUST JUDGE... But the day of mercy is NOW...
Whoever refuses His mercy will perish (He told St F)
