Hi Mary. Let me give you the real skinny on buying health insurance and the disaster called Obamacare.

You have to add a few things for a total.

1- What is the yearly premium. Obama Expanded Bronze. Couple, 55 yrs old......................1204 per month is 14,448 per year just to have it
2- The deductible is 7700 per person...so that is 15,400 per year.
3- max out of pocket is 8550 per person

Let's calculate the costs in a few ways

1- If you never need it, it will cost you 14,448 per yr. Tax deductible in most cases so a net cost of 11,000
2- If one person has a big bill, The total annual cost would be close to 23,000 per year
3- If both use it, it would be 31,550.

Before I go further, what do you think?

I am seeing a massive throng of homeless that can not ever afford OBAMACARE. Its too expensive. Ironic, can we get back to reality here?

I am now on Medicare, but wo years ago, I ended up paying nearly 8000 dollars for Obamacare for a policy that basically did nothing for me. It had an extremely high deductible. It didn't pay for shit, I was forced by the government to have it, and they nailed me on taxes because I made just a tiny bit over a certain threshold
