United States Supreme Court ruling, criminals do not have to register their illegal guns...that would mean only law abiding people would be legally required to register their guns........I know you don't see the problem with this, but normal people do....

Once again voter registration is done at the state level not the federal level

They oppose universal background checks because it would impose mandatory gun registration. Current mandatory federal background checks do not stop criminals or mass shooters because they steal their guns or use straw buyers....the mass shooters simply pass any and all background checks to get their guns......

So universal background checks would be gotten around the same way current federally mandated background checks are gotten around....
