Can somebody help me with curing tinnitus and bulging discs in my back? Or give me hope with some information for the future in healthcare?!

Can somebody help me with curing tinnitus and bulging discs in my back? Or give me hope with some information for the future in healthcare for these issues?! I'm SO depressed at age of 42 that I have tinnitus and FOUR bulging discs in my back after having surgery (successfully I might add) for a herniated disc. I have to do eight specific stretches every day and after doing all of them five times each (some are for each leg) it ends up being SIXTY fucking sets! It takes FOREVER. This is truly a nightmare. I wanted so desperately to live a long healthy life. Now there seems to be not even anything on the horizon with fixing these problems for me. (And other people.)

Propanolol is known to help with tinnitus.

Not sure of anything to help out with the disks.

/—-/ Yes on the Chiropractor, but don’t take Propanolol unless your doctor says OK, especially if you’re taking pain meds.

Avoid hot showers, use block ice while watching TV,Lots of walking, and muscle relaxers. Had herniated disc 1987, no surgery, and there have been maybe half dozen days where I had difficulty getting out of bed which is what the muscle relaxers are for.

Oxycontin. Or a .40 hollow point.

Good luck.

I had back surgery as well. It took like 18 months before i got better. Some of the stretches were actually problematic for me. They were causing nerve pain. I found that walking quickly for 30-45 minutes, several times a week, got me back in shape. Hills are particularly good for this. The better shape your back muscles are in, the less nerve pain and general back pain you will feel.

I had one bulging disk that they did a micro discectomy on to relieve pressure on the nerve. Your problem sounds worse than mine, so you may need a better option than simply walking (though i would try it first). If that is the case, I've heard super good things about DDP Yoga.

Dont let the corny aspect of WWE throw you off. He had severe back problems from wrestling for many years, but he developed a system that fixed his back, among other things. He didnt invent it to sell as a product. He just did it for himself, then he started sharing it with other wrestlers who told him to start a business because, IT WORKS!. It has helped a bunch of people, many of whom couldnt even walk or stand up before doing DDP Yoga. Watch the first 2 minutes of this video and you'll see what i mean.

See my response, here, in your other thread.

I sure wish I knew how to delete this post. I did not want or mean for it to be posted here again. Sheesh. Jesus! Rrrrrr!!!!

I know you want current medical advancements - I will post on that later. First, though, there is this encouraging promise:

Isaiah 33:24
And no resident* will say: “I am sick.”+
The people dwelling in the land will be pardoned for their error.+

There are some things modern science and technology cannot cure - there is nothing God will not cure when this comforting Bible prophecy is fulfilled.

The other posts here are excellent and illustrate how different things can help different people.

My back problems are minor - I'm 73 and if I lift something too heavy - especially lifting the wrong way - I end up within hours with back pain. The cure for that I found is to simply rest my back - and, of course, no heavy lifting. Often when I go to sleep with back pain I wake up cured! Walking did not help me - resting my back did.

I do have carpal tunnel syndrome - that can really be very painful as well. The prescribed pain killers really helped with the excruciating pain - but only treated the symptoms not the cause - which was a pinched nerve. As my condition worsened, my pain became less - further damage to the nerves caused numbness which stopped the pain - but clearly was not a good solution!

I ended up going to a specialist surgeon to operate on my left wrist (for some reason my carpal tunnel on my right wrist has no symptoms). It worked - but not right away. The nerve was no longer pinched - but it takes time for the nerve to repair and work properly again. For me it took about 2-3 months.

It is important to get clear, detailed, instructions after surgery - I did not understand the directions and my incision got very infected. I needed two powerful anti-biotics to cure the infection which was far more dangerous than carpal tunnel - and about as painful btw.

Oh, btw -Potassium Glutamate pills help. And a chiropractor recommended Olive oil (in salads, stir fry veggies, etc.) which helps even more. The chiropractor said that Olive oil would (and does) increase the body's production of sinovial (sp?) fluid, which lubricates the joints.

To ingest Olive oil, not to rub it on your back.

I've heard acupuncture can help with the pain - not sure of the accuracy but worth checking on.

And there is mind over matter - I found that getting involved in any activity (like posting here - or watching a very interesting TV program) can help as well - I think the brain's production of endorphins is involved.
