Regardless of the whether Brown wins or loses - if he finishes close, the Dems lose. The very fact that this race is even close is a sign of how unhappy Americans are with Democratic rule in Washington.

Scott Brown is legit.
By historical standards, he would be a JFK Democrat, and frankly, I will take that any day over this crop of rampant Big Government Anti-American liberalism that dominates the Democrat Party - and to some extent, the Republican Party, of today.
You do realize that the war on poverty programs were a JFK legacy that Johnson continued and eventually passed?
As was the Civil Rights act of 1964, widely opposed by conservatives, such as conservative icon Barry Goldwater?
The right has such a cute mythology built around JFK. Part of their Adopt-a-Dem-and-Makeover project.
Just heard that he has a couple of police union endorsements.
The DNC's hatchet man is in Boston today.
Here come the negative campaign ads.
BTW in rasmussens' polling Scott Brown is up 7 points from where they had him at last
week.
The Democrats will likely resort to attacking the man's children like they did with Palin. Brown is obviously the superior candidate and they know this. Their candidate cannot win on her beliefs so they will have no choice but to try and attack the man personally. Look for their Liberal Media cronies like the Boston Globe to get in on that stuff too. I think the Democrats will have to resort to ugly personal attacks in all elections in 2010 and beyond. They simply can't win on their beliefs anymore. So look for more ugly Palin-like personal smears from them in coming elections. It's all they have left at this point. I wish Mr. Brown well up there but i'm not counting on him winning. I believe the fix is already in. The Dems will rig this thing somehow. It is what it is.

Wonder when we'll see his naked picture in an ad???
jfk was very strong on defense -as well as initiated pre-emptive operations in vietnam, and was successful in across-the-board tax cuts that spurred a period of strong economic growth. Jfk's supply-side initiative cut short the economic stagnation that was creeping in and ushered in a new era of economic pro-business prosperity.
Lbj then took the increased revenues and greatly expanded the role of government, utilizing the then-dead jfk "legacy" as the means of getting it done. With the cost of war, and the ever increasing size and scope of his "great society" government makeover, the increased revenues of created by the jfk tax cuts were soon gone - and the economic flatline that took place in the 1970s was soon to follow.
Watch this video of jfk and it becomes clear that the democrat party of then, bears very little resemblance to the democrat party of today. Jfk was a supply-sider, a social issues moderate, and international hawk.

You do realize that Barry Goldwater actually was a STAUNCH supporter of civil rights and a charter member of the NAACP here in Arizona? and actually voted for the Civil Rights Act when it came up before? The only one he did not vote for was the 1964 version and in later years saud " it was his biggest regret"
By the 1980s, the increasing influence of the Christian Right on the Republican Party so conflicted with Goldwater's libertarian views that he became a vocal opponent of the religious right on issues such as abortion, gay rights, and the role of religion in public life.[2] Goldwater concentrated on his Senate duties, especially passage of the Goldwater-Nichols Act of 1986.

A LOT of liberal people are mad at him for the ad, but you showed the clip in its entire context and now I know Senator Brown's ad was accurate.

Kennedy was able to cut income taxes within the realm of fiscal responsibility.
___
You once again prove my point!!!!
Kennedy advocated LOWER taxes and LESS government spending.
How far the Democrat Party - and YES, some in the Republican Party, have distanced themselves from that simple and sound economic belief.
If you are and advocate for such - surely you cannot be supporting Obama or the current Democrat leadership who are advocating RAISING taxes, and already greatly INCREASED government spending.
