Massachusetts needed teachers for their inner city schools in Boston, and offered teachers no income tax for the first 5 years teaching there in order to get more teachers.

my cousin and her husband were both engineers for the Army corp of engineers in new york state... the Cape Cod area of Massachusetts needed Math Teachers and recruited my cousin and her hubby to teach, and offered them 10 years property tax free on the home they bought....as part of the deal, to get them to accept.

It's an excellent recruiting tool to get teachers and better teachers in to an area in need.

I just come here to educate the dullards who think they know about teachers and public schools but haven't darkened a classroom door since they were either kicked out or they dropped out of their respective middle schools. You could be my star pupil if you would forget all of the bullshit that people have been telling you for years and just listen to the real expert on the topic.
