Brutal arrest of Black student in Florida shows benefits of recording police from new vantage point

The cops were wrong. Period.

So? Even if wrong so what? Mistakes are going to happen. Don't escalate the situation.

Are you all perfect in your jobs? Ooops silly me. Assuming they have a job lol!

Always "a student" or an aspiring "musician" lol! Got to work. Get clean papers. This is today not 250 yrs ago. Live it now.

What should police of done once McNeil locked himself in the car and refused to comply?

They should have never pulled him over on their fishing trip to start with.

Whose surprised that JB Stoner is going to come on with excuses for the cops.

Well another black man got a beaten by the police. This man was driving his car and the police pulled him over and smashed the window out and beat the black man. Fortunately the black man had a camera in the car. It appears the police report fails to mention this.

Fortunately the black man had a camera inside his car and it captured it all on video. Systemic racism I am not to say. But I this is an occurrence all over the USA.

McNeil is hardly the first Black motorist to record video during a traffic stop that turned violent — Philando Castile's girlfriend livestreamed the bloody aftermath of his death during a 2016 traffic stop near Minneapolis.

William McNeil Jr. captured his February traffic stop on his cellphone camera, which was mounted above his dashboard. It offered a unique view, providing the only clear footage of the violence by officers, including punches to his head that can't clearly be seen in officer body camera footage released by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

A video that captured the brutal arrest of a Black college student pulled from his car and beaten by officers in Florida has led to an investigation and calls for motorists to consider protecting themselves by placing a camera inside their vehicles.

You think cops inured to black fatigue?

You can’t just dismiss it and remain credible in the debate.

And yet I can.

Do you support police making routine traffic stops for minor infractions? The stops lead to discovery of other criminality.

Or just don’t stop black motorists?

I don't support fishing expeditions which is what this was.

Good thing he wasn’t white and the officers black because as we saw in the lone killing on January 6, a black police officer shot an unarmed white suspect because the white suspect was not heeding police commands, representing a threat to the black police officer.

Perhaps employing better people to the police might change this, instead of hiring idiots who just happen to have been in the military or watched Rambo as a kid.

Anyone who puts up with shit like that, is going to get tired of it.

I'm tired of it too, btw. I'm glad the cops didn't **** around with that asshole.

The important thing here is that as a white liberal you are OK and never in danger of anything ever from any of the social woes that plague the rest of America...now go on about your day as you probably have a pot or something that needs stirring.

The reason that the “why” does not come into play like Libbies feel is that is initiates an arbitrary back and forth. The driver says he does not approve of the “why” for the stop and off to the races.

White racism is the social woe that plagues America, and Zafira is right in showing it and opposing it.
