Brutal arrest of Black student in Florida shows benefits of recording police from new vantage point

An officer must have a reasonable suspicion of a crime to detain someone in a traffic stop. The man was within his rights to ask why he was being asked to get out of the car.
I agree. Asking questions is how a person learns.

God bless you and the man always!!!

P.S. I do have to say that what you said earlier about the cops getting automatically dismissed when they lie on their reports is not enough. If they lie is about something severe enough, they should be arrested as well.

McNeil was told why he was stopped and then barricaded himself in a conveyance because he was driving illegally and possessed illegal drugs.

The State of Florida Attorney's Ofc investigated and determined no criminality. That investigation included reviewing reports and officer interviews. No evidence of falsified police reports or lying.

Driving with headlights on during inclement weather was the initial stop which led to discovery of driving on a suspended license.
Did it stop raining after he was pulled over and if you watch the video, you will notice that the officer's headlights were not on either.

I don't know it's irrelevant.
So, you can pull me over for a violation that you are yourself violating, but it's irrelevant. These is why the police will has harass, beat and kill black folks is because they know there are enough white folks like you who will justify their actions.

Not the place to be side of the road lawyer and play whataboutism. Take it to court. It would have been a minor civil violation.

Unless of course you have illegal drugs and are driving with no license.

Brutal arrest? Too bad nobody videoed the murder of unarmed Ashli Babbitt during the Jan 6 demonstration.

What did the motorist say to stir up the police?

Like my mum always told me, it takes two to tango. I have doubts that the motorist is completely innocent.

When I was a young man, a police officer I knew got into a little bit of a jackpot for ******* up some miscreant on duty. Didn't make the national news as both the cop and criminal were honkies.

But the suspect openly and falsely accused the police officer's MOTHER of being a prostitute. Needless to say, once all the information came out, this was all like water under the bridge, the cop was justified.
The cops were wrong. Period.
