Boehner cannot sue the President

Obama needs to ramp up his Executive Orders

Since Congress is content to do nothing, doesn't mean the President should be

He needs to make Congress try to stop him

^^^ There it is.. The total disregard for the letter of the law/ The US Constitution.

Yeah, red meat. First McCarthy flip flops on the import export bank, and then Boehner gives this bone to the TPM in the house. Immigration is dead. Maybe they're getting ready to find a way to fund the Hiighway Trust Fund.

Libruls are foaming and seething in a meltdown over the SCOTUS decisions today that knocked their tyrannical dreams of grandeur in the dirt!! lmao

George Washington was the first to use Executive Orders

How do you think it is unconstitutional? In 225 years, do you have a single court decision declaring them to be Unconstitutional?

I just said throw them all in jail.. If you break the law that's where you should be, regardless of party affiliation.. See unlike you LOCKSTEP ZOMBIES, I don't give a damn what side of the aisle the crook is from..

You numbskulls seem to think quantity is relative to legality. One has nothing to do with the other. Content is the issue.

Which law do you claim is being broken?

Facts mean nothing to the left. This has been ongoing..

The lawsuit would seek to void the Obama administration's decision to extend for a year "substandard" insurance policies that would otherwise have been canceled under the Affordable Care Act. It would also challenge the one-year delay of ObamaCare's employer mandate requiring companies to offer insurance or pay a penalty.

The lawmakers are also taking aim at Obama's directive granting deferred action in certain cases involving the deportation of illegal immigrants, as well as a waiver of welfare work requirements under the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program.

The lawsuit would contend that each of those actions violated the section of the Constitution setting out that the president "shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed."

These push his agenda bypassing Congress. Abuse. Now trying to claim Washington did the same is soooooo liberal

Funny thing is you actually make out the case for the Court staying out of this. The Court's jurisdiction should not extend into forcing one side into a compromise or decideing issues where there is a failure to compromise.

What occurred was that among Obamacare's unwise provisions was the requirement that polcies that don't fit Obamacare's "one size fits all" central planning provisions be cancelled. It's stupid because those policies actually fit the needs of some people. And, Obama lied when he said 'if you like your insurance, you can keep it.'

Realizing they screwed up, the dems would be open to amending the law. And the gop doesn't want those policies cancelled either. But the House won't compromise by keeping some provisions of Obamacare that might actually be helpful. They demand total repeal. Obama refused to cave into calls for no compromise.

Grow a brain. He got Obamscare passed, then proceeded to use his ep to not enforce his own laws.

.

Interesting interview on MSNBC (yikes) with Jonathan Turley, who voted for Obama:

STEVE KORNACKI, MSNBC: Jonathan, let me bring you in now. We covered the explicitly political, let's get to the legal then. Okay, the Speaker of the House is intent on suing the president of the United States. It's unclear, apparently, from the remarks John Boehner made today from the information they put out exactly what the specific examples they are using here. Presidential overreach, executive orders they think sort of undercut Congress, but you know, you've been following this, their complaints for the last few years, really. Legally speaking, is there any kind of a case here?

JONATHAN TURLEY, PROFESSOR OF LAW: Oh, I think there is a case against the president for exceeding his authority. I happen to agree with the president on many of his priorities and policies, but as I testified in Congress, I think that he has crossed the constitutional line.

KORNACKI: Where has he crossed it? Like what specific issue has he crossed it on?

TURLEY: When the president went to Congress and said he would go it alone, it obviously raises a concern. There's no license for going it alone in our system, and what he's done, is very problematic. He has shifted $454 million of the ACA from appropriated purpose to another purpose. He's told agencies not to enforce some laws, like immigration laws. He has effectively rewritten laws through the active interpretation that I find very problematic. While I happen to agree with him, I voted for him, I think this is a problem.

It is not about the amount of Executive Orders, it's about the ones he has done that violate the Constitution.
Like the one the Supreme Court just ruled on at 9 to 0.

Let's see what the Founders had to say about Separation of Powers instead of Irkel:

Equality of the branches[edit]
The Constitution does not explicitly indicate the pre-eminence of any particular branch of government. However, James Madison wrote in Federalist 51, regarding the ability of each branch to defend itself from actions by the others, that "it is not possible to give to each department an equal power of self-defense. In republican government, the legislative authority necessarily predominates."

Separation of powers under the United States Constitution - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Federalist papers have little or no bearing on Legislation or the Court.

They are opinions.

Wow..:eek::eek: You're ******* out of control.. Chill..

Barack Obama just before the election, legalized and passed his own law to allow hundreds of thousands illegals to come in. He influenced a US election as well as wrote law from the Executive Branch. That is a direct violation of the United States Constitution under the Separation of Powers. The President is limited by the Constitution , for very good reason as we are witnessing firsthand today. Our Founders were very wise men indeed.

Listed in the US Constitution in regard to the Executive Branch:

Executive
May veto laws
Wages war at the direction of Congress (Congress makes the rules for the military)
Makes decrees or declarations (for example, declaring a state of emergency) and promulgates lawful regulations and executive orders
Influences other branches of its agenda with the State of the Union address.
Appoints judges and executive department heads
Has power to grant pardons to convicted persons, except in cases of impeachment
