Biden's Fatal Mistake?

Joe Biden may have sown up the Democrat nomination for President, but his thoughtless commitment to pick a woman (of color?) has made it much less likely that he could be elected. Because of his age and mental health issues, there will be serious questions about his capacity to serve out one full term as President, much less two. As a result, his choice for Vice President is much more important to voters than in previous elections.,

The problem with his commitment is that he will have reduced the gravity of his choice to that of tokenism. By ruling out all male (and White?) candidates, the person he selects will be scrutinized to a much greater degree than is usual. If it is seen as simply pandering to a particular voting block, the negative effects of this selection may far outweigh the positive.

I have no doubt that the DNC is weighing all of these considerations very carefully. The next four months will be verrry interesting...
Tokenism for the Party that lives on it

Seems appropriate.
Picking a woman to be his running mate is tokenism?

You do realize there are more women in this country than there are men, right?
Then why didn't you nominate one?
Why didn't I nominate one what, for what?

An ACTUAL pussy grabber is now the Left’s candidate.
Yeah, you keep trying to push that bullshit.

You obviously can’t show how it is not bullshit. Tara Reade has date, time, and location (Biden’s Office). Blasey Ford has none of the above and you people claimed that every woman should be heard. That’s you pushing bullshit.

It really doesn't matter. It comes down to a "he said, she said".

Like I said, keep pushing it and see where it gets you and your ilk.

It is if there are better suited males available for the job.
And if numbers matter there should only be a couple of black politicians....right?
Oh,the difference is only around 6 million.

You people (ilk) are going to have to determine if you stand by your mantra in ‘18 that all women should be heard. Or, is it conditional?

Sure, they should all be heard. I have no problem with that.

The problem with his impulsive remark is that he will have reduced the gravity of his choice to that of tokenism. Actually I believe Biden is picking mayor Petey

Wanting to be more inclusive of women and/or minorities in public policy is the exact opposite of tokenism.

Pointing at a single black guy in a crowd of whites to signify diversity is tokenism.

Nope, she took a blood test to prove she was an indian and the test proved she was not, then she went on TV saying that she was. Proving that she is schizophrenic and as a schizzo she can be anything they choose.

No, they don't need to be the most qualified. trump is living proof of that.

The ratio of Black Americans to Black politicians is pretty much the same exact percentage from what I have read.
