No. But, we have met and had a chance to talk for a few minutes, away from the crowd, at opening ceremony, when the state took over a park project, making it the newest park in our state park system. I shared the need and my interest in seeing a boat ramp added other side of the river, since extensive land on that side of the river was own by the park, undeveloped and a ramp would provide small boat, kayak, and canoe access to a river that was accessible for paddling and fishing. He incorporated the idea into his speech, and announced the construction project as a park improvement on local TV and state press releases, later that day. I rode my bike out there, last week. Road has been cut in for HWY 45, land/trees cleared, and initial work on the ramp itself, with some concrete poured. Park ranger told me it won't be long, but at this point, they would rather the public did not attempt to use, yet, as they are not really equipped to handle public traffic back there, yet if anybody gets in trouble. But, I was impressed with the work, done. Bill is a good guy, easy to talk with, does what he says, and has done a lot for West Tennessee, development wise, though this is his last term in office. Definitely not a Democrat. If you didn't know, Tennessee is a very red state.
