Biden: I’ll Keep Buying Oil from Putin, That’ll Show Him

Congress was able to pass a bill and put it in front of Obama to approve the 4th leg of the Keystone pipeline system. The GOP held both chambers but they couldn't come up with a deal for it with Trump in office. Even an EO earlier in his term approving the permit would have seen it's completion. All I can say is the man was just politically incompetent.

Last I checked the Keystone pipeline was still pumping that Canadian Slurry to the Gulf Coast refiners. Biden didn't stop one drop of it from flowing, nor did he cause a drop in US production of oil.
post #145. ooops, you lied again.

Trump was energy independent at that time. fiscally responsible. You can't figure that out yet, I know. Should have told the media to print it and report on it. stay stupid. BTW, he didn't expect demofks to be anti american.

The XL extension has been cancelled. Not one drop of oil flowed through it. Not one drop of oil from the other 3 segments of the Keystone pipeline was shut down. Nor did it's cancellation effect US production levels which had already dropped before Joe won the election and took office.

dude, you are far too stupid to know what that did. Why did xiden go to Putin for oil then? Trump didn't have to. hmmmmmmm

We've been buying Russian oil for over 25 years. Who told you that stupid story that Joe went to Vlad. Multinational oil companies like BP Shell and Exxon have been working with Russia. Furthermore BP has already discontinued their relationship with Russia and I expect the others to follow suit.

If you had the Keystone you would not need to import Russian oil. Is that correct?

No that is not correct. Energy is not a domestic product, it's a worldwide product. Even during Trump, we imported and exported energy. The difference is energy independence.

If we import 5 million barrels a week from Russia and export 5 million barrels a week to other countries, we are technically energy independent. People confuse that with energy independence meaning we don't buy energy from anybody else. If we import 5 million barrels but export 5.2 million barrels, we are an energy exporter.

If there is a conflict such as we have now with Russia, but we are dependent on their oil, then we are helpless to take any meaningful action against them since we are technically no longer energy independent or an exporter. Pumping our own oil we could replace any reduction of Russian output so that's a strategy he would be disabled from using against us if Biden took serious actions against Russia.

"Politically incompetent"? Is that what you call it when one man has all of the left, and the considerable
Never Trumper anuses and the media? And the entrenched Deep State, ALL lined up against him?

Trump still has most of his base however. And that's something considering the steady drum beat
that's never really stopped ever since he entered office..

I'm not sure I'd want him back considering what a lightening rod he is.

But when chimps like you howl and jump around, flinging shit everywhere, never letting up for even a second, it makes me think maybe Trump and DeSantis would be a great pairing.

The asshole Biden administration issued a statement, high gas prices it sucks to be you. NO we won't increase US production, just buy a solar panel and stop complaining you peons.

That is effectively what Psaki said...

And they started releasing 50 million barrels from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) in November in a lame attempt to lower prices by a few cents (or perhaps something more sinister, since it damages our national security to frivolous use the SPR oil).

Prices are over $100 per barrel. Biden admin is going to let OPEC take the windfall instead of American companies, and the American consumers will be financing it all, paying 53% more for gas at the pump than they did just 13 months ago under Trump (1)

The incompetence of the administration is staggering.

Yes. He showed he has no ability to put aside his fragile ego and make an honest compromise. It is a trait the far right leaders like Limbaugh and Jones have pushed for decades and found it in spades with Trump.

The Democrat leadership has a history of operating "my way or the highway." and this Congress no different. Look at the wall for instance. Money had nothing to do with it. What Trump asked for was about half of what we spend on food stamps for just one month. He had to get the few billion he needed from the defense fund which he also had passed when he had a Republican led House and Senate.

Infrastructure? Give Republicans a clean bill and they'll be happy to vote for real infrastructure. Piglosi and like refuse to do that. All the pork and green in the bill or nothing at all. They were trying to work with their side only, but not the Republicans.

He couldn't make a deal when it mattered. His world is leverage. Either you have it and you use it, or someone has it on you and they use it. He could have gotten a hell of a lot more for his Wall than he did declaring an emergency to get the power need to take appropriations from the military.

I'll take your word for it since it's well known you never exaggerate or lie.

Still trying to figure out the difference between locking down one’s own citizens and taking over another country’s citizens? To me, it’s the same thing. Punishment is punishment

He's the person that got that money for the military.......remember?

President Trump started at seven billion and kept negotiating down. Every step of the way they refused to give him a dime. No counter offers, just a plain No.

What the Democrats are putting us in debt for is the advancement of their party and vote buying. It has nothing to do with the benefit of this country. A solid border does benefit this country. It helps us maintain our culture, it stops foreigners from undercutting American wages, it aids our border patrol, it helps reduce dangerous narcotics from entering this country killing thousands of our people every single year, it helps in stopping criminals from entering and even terrorists since they fly into Mexico from over 110 countries to cross over, it helps us in this battle with covid we've been suffering through the last couple of years, it helps our children in school as they are not stuffed in a classroom with kids that don't know three words of the English language.

And before you tell me walls don't work, I have several links with evidence they work great; not perfect, but to enough to keep a majority of problems out of our country. If we don't have a border, then we don't have a nation.
