Biden goes begging to OPEC even though the USA has a 300 year supply! Why?

It's fun to see so-called "free market" conservatives display how little they know or give a fuck about those free markets they love so much......

Oil produced in the US is for global consumption....not just domestic....

But if you are saying you want government to step in and nationalize our oil production -- please do....sounds a bit socialist, but go on....
As people like you are wont to do you ignore the major point...i.e. the USA has a 300 year supply. And while I'm an advocate of alternative energy sources, I'm a realist and understand that until we are able to generate energy with a negative impact on the environment that is ECONOMICALLY practical, we are using the next best, i.e. fossil fuels.
I am totally against the ignorance of the Bidenistas that don't have an economically practical way of "green energy".
These ignoramuses have as Biden NO idea how the ordinary American is affected when the dumb ass comments from Biden become policy!
Biden totally ignorant comments..
I want you to look into my eyes, I guarantee We Are Going To Get Rid of Fossil Fuels

Number two, holding them liable for what they have done,' he said of fossil fuel executives, ' And by the way, when they don't want to deliver, put them in jail. I'm not joking about this.'
These totally ignorant comments represent just plain dumb actions by a truly uninformed person too old to be
making decisions that affect MY life!

How's that Beautiful Wall coming along, and did Mexico ever pay up?

"Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden couched his debate comments pledging to transition away from the oil industry Thursday, saying after the event in Nashville, Tenn., that the U.S. would not get rid of fossil fuels for a long time.

“Eventually we’re going to have to go to oil, but we’re not getting rid of fossil fuels. We’re getting rid of the subsidies for fossil fuels, but we’re not getting rid of fossil fuels for a long time,” Biden told reporters on the ground in Tennessee after the debate.

He then added that the transition away from fossil fuels would probably not happen until 2050.

Biden's statements are remembered by people. People like illegal immigrants.
"I would, in fact, make sure that there is, we immediate surge to the border, "

Why would he make such a dumb statement that is seared in everyone of those illegal immigrants?
Biden's other dumb ass comments that people remember especially those that would be directly affected.
Joe Biden:
I want you to look into my eyes, I guarantee We Are Going To Get Rid of Fossil Fuels

Biden’s hostility to energy industry workers is nothing new, either.
Biden has also said “we should put them in jail” when talking about fossil fuel executives.

Let me give you your quote, "But Biden blocked exploration on land that produces 24% of our nation's oil and gas"

Biden paused new leasing but didn't block new exploration on existing leases including those that were producing that 24%. That pause was of course lifted, and a huge lease sale was scheduled but was halted by a Judge in La.
HE BLOCKED future leases on the Federal Lands! Do you truly understand the implications of that?
Oil company planners CAN"T buy leases for future oil exploration on federal lands.
The private land owners know that! So that makes their land more valuable, i.e. raising costs to explore, which raises costs to
refineries, then to gas stations eventually me and YOU!
So why would any sane person reduce the exploration potential as Biden has done! Makes no sense.

It was paused due to the Trumpybear Fire Sale in 2020. There is no pause in exploration over available leases.

On Tuesday, the Bureau of Land Management auctioned off oil and gas leases to 11 parcels of land totaling around 15,000 acres in Nevada. It’s the latest event in a troubling trend in the Trump administration: Much as the Environmental Protection Agency has been in a mad dash to peel back environmental regulations in the lead-up to November’s election, the Department of the Interior now seems to be embarking on a fire sale of public lands to oil and gas drillers in advance of a potential Democratic administration.

Cheap leases are some of the many subsidies the federal government furnishes to fossil fuel producers. The Trump administration in recent months has been especially eager to accelerate drilling by offering up federal land to fossil fuel companies at a bargain. But like much of the so-called relief Republicans have offered the struggling fossil fuel industry, this basically comes down to making drilling easier—and drilling more won’t help the oil industry right now, given the way supply is outstripping demand. After a temporary rally through mid and late summer, oil prices dropped sharply on Tuesday owing to weak demand and Saudi Arabia’s ensuing decision to slash prices. Brent crude dipped to less than $40 per barrel for the first time since June, well below the price needed for most unconventional drilling to be profitable. Six more lease sales are planned for the rest of September, spanning several Western states and fuel reserves for which there isn’t currently much of an appetite, going by the low prices at Tuesday’s auction.

You provided NOT one link to the above! Why are you so lazy?
From that link:

The BLM is applying a first-ever increased royalty rate of 18.75% for the leases sold in the current competitive lease sales, in keeping with rates charged by States and private landowners.
Way to go in RAISING prices! Wow how totally stupid way in getting the USA "energy independent"!
Just goes to show how ignorant ANTI-fossil fuels Biden is!
Remember he said:
I want you to look into my eyes, I guarantee We Are Going To Get Rid of Fossil Fuels”

What a way to raise gas prices! Raise rates nearly 20% for Federal land, threaten jail to oil company workers and work to wipe out their jobs! Really dumb actions!

PROVE IT!!!! Now here is the result of Trump's energy policies' alterations...
1) Oil/gas leases
View attachment 653043
2) Energy Independence... First time in 62 years!
The definition of "energy independence"...
In 2019, when Donald Trump was president, the U.S. did achieve energy independence, something that had not happened since 1957.
In 2019, as was the case in March, the U.S. produced slightly more energy than it consumed.
Specifically, Americans used about 100.2 quadrillion Btu of energy and produced about 101 quadrillion Bt
Broken down by month, there were seven months in 2019 where energy production outpaced energy consumption.
I don't think you get it... Unless an emergency US should be trying to get off oil...
Science has shown that continued heavy use of fossil fuels will lead to a Global Climate Disaster...

So if Biden says he is going to end Fossil Fuels then good on him... It is not going to happen tomorrow but it should be planned for and done...

The anti science brigade have given their opinions and their science was generally full of inaccurate data or conclusions...

So we need to do things, maybe not in a war but it does need to happen sooner than later..

Science???? Tell me how was the global warming of 1.53 degrees F achieved? Simple for over 60 years from
from 1850 to 2012... mostly a manual reading of a thermometer while the reader was in 30 degrees below or 120 degrees above... and mostly urban areas where there were more people and obviously more heat! And then nearly 12% of the earth's service WASN't included.
Retort the points brought by the attached from a "science" point if you can!

Also Cowboy... if "global warming" is so bad, why did Obama buy a home less than a mile from the rising seawaters?

SCIENCE "cowboy"???
First, no credible scientific body has ever said climate change threatens the collapse of civilization much less the extinction of the human species.
“‘Our children are going to die in the next 10 to 20 years.’ What’s the scientific basis for these claims?”
BBC’s Andrew Neil asked a visibly uncomfortable XR spokesperson last month.

What about sea level rise? IPCC estimates sea level could rise two feet (0.6 meters) by 2100. Does that sound apocalyptic or even “unmanageable”?
Consider that one-third of the Netherlands is below sea level, and some areas are seven meters below sea level. You might object that Netherlands is rich while Bangladesh is poor. But the Netherlands adapted to living below sea level 400 years ago. Technology has improved a bit since then.

SCIENCE cowboy...
All of this helps explain why IPCC anticipates climate change will have a modest impact on economic growth.
By 2100, IPCC projects the global economy will be 300 to 500% larger than it is today. Both IPCC and the Nobel-winning Yale economist, William Nordhaus, predict that warming of 2.5°C and 4°C would reduce gross domestic product (GDP) by 2% and 5% over that same period.

FACTS cowboy not guesses like you have done!

Zero nothing you write first of all makes any sense. Where is YOUR proof? I've given you multiple links substantiating my statements. YOU Zero! So why should any "science" aware person believe YOU vs my links?
You retorted nothing. I started pointing out simple fact a thermometer being read by a human in -30 to +120 degrees for over 60 years was the basis! How truly "unscientific"... GUESSES as to the temperature remember the
differences were 2 degrees, i.e. 30...32...34....36... and the observer under various conditions had to read the difference? Here look at this thermometer and see the blurry aspect.

The Founding Fathers warned about all of this. The foreign white men in Europe have most of the power in the United States now.

What????

You want proof.....evidence......from a Democrat???????

The United States has the largest known deposits of oil shale in the world, according to the Bureau of Land Management and holds an estimated 2.175 trillion barrels (345.8 km3) of potentially recoverable oil.
In 2021, the United States consumed an average of about 19.78 million barrels of petroleum per day, or a total of about 7.22 billion barrels of petroleum. This was an increase in consumption of about 1.6 million barrels per day over consumption in 2020.Mar 9, 2022

2,175,000,000,000 barrels of oil in known oil in USA divided by 19,780,000 barrels per day would be a total of
19,780,000 barrels per day or
109,848 years or

300 years!

Because publicly he has to keep his rhetoric of destroying fossil fuels and making our country run on wind and solar.

But he can't do that so he has to not so publicly to buy it from somewhere else.

Pretty much Biden is like a fat guy standing on his front porch getting applause from his neighbors as he tells them how he is eating better to lose weight and having a salad for dinner. Meanwhile door dash is dropping off a bag of big Macs at his backdoor.

They currently are increasing oil production. Remember, before the pandemic the US was importing 7 -9 million bpd.
Oil production must always rise to keep up with demand... and we aren't keeping up with demand anymore... we were under Trump... but not under Biden... so your point is moot....
And to give you even more to worry about we don't have enough oil left in the reserve to fight a war... Biden's been sucking it off to try and keep gas prices down for the next election... so now in order to replenish the oil he stole from us we have to do it at the high price per barrel we are at now.... and that's $90 per barrel... when Trump replenished the oil Obama took out he did it at $29 bucks a barrel...
Your guy and your party are fuckups surada... wake up....

In 2019 we imported 7-9 million bpd... and exported 2-3 million bpd. Think. Production was crashing at $29 a barrel.

Under Oil Barron Trump, in mid 2018 we imported 11.018 mdb and exported 6.881 mbd.

The Oil Patch didn't achieve the Energy Independent milestone until late in 2019. Our NG production has increased the gap too.

There are different types of crude surada... some more heavy than others... Europe can refine the heavy stuff we don't... so there will always be oil going from one place where it was drilled for to another where it can be more easily refined into gas or heating oil...
there seems to be a lot that you do not know about oil... I would suggest since you want to get rid of fossil fuels you read up on it first... and stop falling for word and number tricks from the left wing anti oil media they lie and don't tell you the whole story...
