Biden goes begging to OPEC even though the USA has a 300 year supply! Why?

Biden's disorder is called terminal stupidity. He caught it from the squad and the rest of the self-proclaimed progressives. Progressive, my ass.

The United States has the largest known deposits of oil shale in the world, according to the Bureau of Land Management and holds an estimated 2.175 trillion barrels (345.8 km3) of potentially recoverable oil.
In 2021, the United States consumed an average of about 19.78 million barrels of petroleum per day, or a total of about 7.22 billion barrels of petroleum. This was an increase in consumption of about 1.6 million barrels per day over consumption in 2020.Mar 9, 2022

2,175,000,000,000 barrels of oil in known oil in USA divided by 19,780,000 barrels per day would be a total of
19,780,000 barrels per day or
109,848 years or

300 years!

The sky is falling, the sky is falling!!!!! Either that or you're an idiot. I'm going with the latter.

OPEC needs to get production back up to pre-pandemic levels to cut the price oil worldwide.

A bright 10 year old could figure that one out. It's not rocket science. Apparently you're not smart enough to see that.

You make a statement.."OPEC needs to get production back up to pre-pandemic levels to cut the price oil worldwide."
What FACTS do you have regarding pre-pandemic levels?
How difficult is it to USE the INTERNET and find the answer?

It's fun to see so-called "free market" conservatives display how little they know or give a fuck about those free markets they love so much......

Oil produced in the US is for global consumption....not just domestic....

But if you are saying you want government to step in and nationalize our oil production -- please do....sounds a bit socialist, but go on....
BUT I AM NOT saying government to step in! TO STEP OUT and allow exploration on Federal Land that produces 24% of nations oil.
But Biden blocked exploration on land that produces 24% of our nation's oil and gas
Explain how those government actions i.e. not allowing exploration on land that provides 24%, were not "step ins"?

Biden goes begging to OPEC even though the USA has a 300 year supply! Why?

Because US oil producers have refused to use the land available to add rigs to increase production in order to appease their stockholders desire for capital returns in favor of capital investment.
And why should the oil producers explore on private lands when the costs have gone up!
Each barrel of oil equivalent cost an average of just over $3 to discover last year, compared with just $1.18 in 2001, according to Wood Mackenzie.Feb 11, 2010
Then you add that the lease prices have gone up on private lands because Federal lands are not available and don't give that crap as Biden 9,000 leases not used...FACT:
There are more than 9,000 permits to drill oil on federal lands, as President Biden claimed.
But a variety of factors are keeping that work from getting started.
....that it is defending more than 2,200 leases in court, most of which cannot be developed while the cases are ongoing.
Federal leases…are subject to environmental studies. They're also subject to lawsuits filed by neighbors, by municipalities, by counties and state governments. And so it's become a more arduous process,” he said.

More regurgitated garbage from the Garbage Party of the Trumpyberra ,who also "Begged" the Murderous Clown Prince to increase and decrease production. Also regurgitated nonsense is the claim about oil shale, shale oil should not be confused with oil shale, it's rock that contains a compound called kerogen and is used to make oil. It requires more processing that the Canadian Bitumen does.

They have thousands of oil leases on Federal lands.

Its appalling we are exporting one drop of oil when we have a shortage.

Why would you give your food away when your family is starving? Its fucking stupid.

That land is already leased. There was no ban on seismic survey permits put in place by the Biden Administration. So how has exploration on that land been stopped?

"The Trump administration has in fact offered almost as many acres for drilling in four years – almost 25m acres – as the Obama administration did in eight years. The acreage ultimately leased by oil companies under Trump is a fraction of what was offered, in part owing to unfavorable market conditions for fossil fuels, and is comparable to Obama’s record."

Biden pauses new oil and gas leases amid legal battle over cost of climate change

  • The Biden administration is delaying decisions on new oil and gas leases and permits after a Louisiana federal judge blocked officials from using higher cost estimates of climate change.
  • The leasing pause is an unintended result of the Feb. 11 decision by U.S. District Judge James Cain, who argued that the administration’s attempt to raise the real cost of climate change would hike energy costs.
  • The ruling has prompted delays and uncertainty across at least four federal agencies that were using higher cost estimates of greenhouse gas emissions in decisions.

Cost of the Biden Ban on Public Lands

By the end of Biden’s first term, the costs of banning leasing will be $33.5 billion in lost Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and $8.3 billion in state tax revenues. Nearly 58,700 jobs will be lost annually and workers would lose over $15 billion in wages.

What will all the groomers here say when gas rationing starts?

Gas price hikes and gas shortages are what groomercrats vote for. Go to 1 environment group meeting and you will here gas prices being cheered.

new oil and gas leases and permits after a Louisiana federal judge blocked.....
Not a single drop of oil from the 24% is coming from those unsold leases of unexplored areas. Your claim is that Biden is blocking exploration on land that is producing 24%. There is no moratorium on new drilling permits or seismic survey permits on already leased federal property. Not that a judge in La. has blocked a huge new lease sale from going forward.

The oil business is a business.. it's not socialism or altruism.

I am sorry I didn't make it clear. CURRENTLY according to this web site, 25% of the US oil production comes from Federal Lands.
Oil from federal lands tops 1B barrels as Trump eases rules
About one-quarter of U.S. oil is produced from federal lands, a figure that's held fairly steady for much of the last decade as drilling has increased on both public and private lands
I'm not saying it. ABC news a group you rely on entirely for your news so you must believe them!
Now the Federal lands at 1/4 or 25% would make Federally leased lands producing,
again FACTS!!!
EIA's preliminary data for 2021 indicates that U.S. total petroleum production averaged about 16.582 million barrels per day (b/d), which included: crude oil..
or over 2,796,250 barrels per day from Federal lands.
Understand now?

Let me give you your quote, "But Biden blocked exploration on land that produces 24% of our nation's oil and gas"

Biden paused new leasing but didn't block new exploration on existing leases including those that were producing that 24%. That pause was of course lifted, and a huge lease sale was scheduled but was halted by a Judge in La.

Perspective and political party difference... BIDEN told us he wanted to put oil people in Jail. Biden told us
“I want you to look into my eyes, I guarantee We Are Going To Get Rid of Fossil Fuels”

Biden paused new leasing but didn't block new exploration So yea.. "paused" block" both meaning halting any
exploration ! To me Biden has told us he wants us ALL off gas.... STUPIDITY!

I guarantee We Are Going To Get Rid of Fossil Fuels

How's that Beautiful Wall coming along, and did Mexico ever pay up?

"Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden couched his debate comments pledging to transition away from the oil industry Thursday, saying after the event in Nashville, Tenn., that the U.S. would not get rid of fossil fuels for a long time.

“Eventually we’re going to have to go to oil, but we’re not getting rid of fossil fuels. We’re getting rid of the subsidies for fossil fuels, but we’re not getting rid of fossil fuels for a long time,” Biden told reporters on the ground in Tennessee after the debate.

He then added that the transition away from fossil fuels would probably not happen until 2050.
