We? It's not our oil.So if we drill alot more what's the point of we allow it to leave our shores?
The United States has the largest known deposits of oil shale in the world, according to the Bureau of Land Management and holds an estimated 2.175 trillion barrels (345.8 km3) of potentially recoverable oil.
In 2021, the United States consumed an average of about 19.78 million barrels of petroleum per day, or a total of about 7.22 billion barrels of petroleum. This was an increase in consumption of about 1.6 million barrels per day over consumption in 2020.Mar 9, 2022Oil reserves in the United States - Wikipedia

2,175,000,000,000 barrels of oil in known oil in USA divided by 19,780,000 barrels per day would be a total of
19,780,000 barrels per day or
109,848 years or
300 years!
You make a statement.."OPEC needs to get production back up to pre-pandemic levels to cut the price oil worldwide."The sky is falling, the sky is falling!!!!! Either that or you're an idiot. I'm going with the latter.
OPEC needs to get production back up to pre-pandemic levels to cut the price oil worldwide.
A bright 10 year old could figure that one out. It's not rocket science. Apparently you're not smart enough to see that.
BUT I AM NOT saying government to step in! TO STEP OUT and allow exploration on Federal Land that produces 24% of nations oil. It's fun to see so-called "free market" conservatives display how little they know or give a fuck about those free markets they love so much......
Oil produced in the US is for global consumption....not just domestic....
But if you are saying you want government to step in and nationalize our oil production -- please do....sounds a bit socialist, but go on....
And why should the oil producers explore on private lands when the costs have gone up!Biden goes begging to OPEC even though the USA has a 300 year supply! Why?
Because US oil producers have refused to use the land available to add rigs to increase production in order to appease their stockholders desire for capital returns in favor of capital investment.

But Biden blocked exploration on land that produces 24% of our nation's oil and gas
Explain how those government actions i.e. not allowing exploration on land that provides 24%, were not "step ins"?

That land is already leased. There was no ban on seismic survey permits put in place by the Biden Administration. So how has exploration on that land been stopped?
"The Trump administration has in fact offered almost as many acres for drilling in four years – almost 25m acres – as the Obama administration did in eight years. The acreage ultimately leased by oil companies under Trump is a fraction of what was offered, in part owing to unfavorable market conditions for fossil fuels, and is comparable to Obama’s record."
Revealed: the full extent of Trumpâs âmeat cleaverâ assault on US wilderness
After four years of Trump, protected places such as national monuments and wildlife refuges have opened to oil drilling, new maps show – with more on the waywww.theguardian.com
Not a single drop of oil from the 24% is coming from those unsold leases of unexplored areas. Your claim is that Biden is blocking exploration on land that is producing 24%. There is no moratorium on new drilling permits or seismic survey permits on already leased federal property. Not that a judge in La. has blocked a huge new lease sale from going forward.new oil and gas leases and permits after a Louisiana federal judge blocked.....
Its appalling we are exporting one drop of oil when we have a shortage.
Why would you give your food away when your family is starving? Its fucking stupid.
I am sorry I didn't make it clear. CURRENTLY according to this web site, 25% of the US oil production comes from Federal Lands. Not a single drop of oil from the 24% is coming from those unsold leases of unexplored areas. Let me give you your quote, "But Biden blocked exploration on land that produces 24% of our nation's oil and gas"I am sorry I didn't make it clear. CURRENTLY according to this web site, 25% of the US oil production comes from Federal Lands.
Oil from federal lands tops 1B barrels as Trump eases rules
About one-quarter of U.S. oil is produced from federal lands, a figure that's held fairly steady for much of the last decade as drilling has increased on both public and private lands
I'm not saying it. ABC news a group you rely on entirely for your news so you must believe them!
Now the Federal lands at 1/4 or 25% would make Federally leased lands producing,
again FACTS!!!
EIA's preliminary data for 2021 indicates that U.S. total petroleum production averaged about 16.582 million barrels per day (b/d), which included: crude oil..
or over 2,796,250 barrels per day from Federal lands.
Understand now?
Perspective and political party difference... BIDEN told us he wanted to put oil people in Jail. Biden told usLet me give you your quote, "But Biden blocked exploration on land that produces 24% of our nation's oil and gas"
Biden paused new leasing but didn't block new exploration on existing leases including those that were producing that 24%. That pause was of course lifted, and a huge lease sale was scheduled but was halted by a Judge in La.
I guarantee We Are Going To Get Rid of Fossil Fuels
