It's evident with Ukraine that Liberals would rather say they won than actually win. Putin's winning in Ukraine, Putin's winning on the global war for the reserve currency, Putin is winning the commodity war.

But - Liberals SAY they win...and that's all that matters when everyone gets a participation trophy.

Russia has said for 20 years that any NATO expansion into Ukraine would be the end of Ukraine. Only Biden-Harris were dumb enough to call Russia on their threat.

This is why the entire world is negotiating with Russia WITHOUT THE US. End of debate. Biden-Harris have completely lost all legitimacy on the world stage.

The US is entirely cut out of all negotiations.

Wow, one day in and you've already proven to be a propagandist for Putin. Who else have you supported, Leopold II, Shiro Ishi, Idi Amin, Stalin, Hitler and more ruthless despots who murder masses of civilians?

Just like the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, the Russians will get what they want* while the U.S. President will crow about what a tough guy he is.

*JFK approved a secret agreement to remove our missiles from Turkey and never invade Cuba. Biden will approve an agreement to give Crimea to Russia and never allow Ukraine into NATO.

I don't give a shjt about civilians. War is war, you either win or you lose. PERIOD.

Well this is a switch for the political right in America!
So far the rightists are the antiwar majority!
Can it hold?

This hasn't happened since the Kosovo war when the right turned against Clinton's presidential war.

Putin is responsible for the invasion, it's his army. The West contributed greatly in pushing things to the brink. It was stupid, and now the Ukraine is paying the price for it.
Putin was planning to invade Ukraine regardless of anything Nato or Ukraine did. It's not even debatable that most Russians consider Ukraine to be part of russia (and the vast maj of Ukrainians wanting none of that shit LOL) And it's not debatable that Putin's aims for years have been to recreate some version of the pre 1991 Russian empire. He simply waited till Trump was out of office and covid and recession had placed the west in a weaker than before position.

Possibly, had nato been unified and willing to confront the Russians, as they were prior to 9-11 and W's misadventures, and before Obama who was by nature more willing to "rethink" US policy, Nato would have simply said it was guaranteeing Ukraine's unalligned status and placed several "no longer existing" armored and infantry battalions along Poland's border.

The US plans for war with North Korea, every year. But we only will invade North Korea when certain conditions are met.

Grow the fuck up.

Hard to say, without Western interference things likely would have been different. Just speculation now.

At the Bucharest Summit in 2008, NATO welcomed Ukraine’s bid for membership and agreed that it could eventually become a member of NATO if it met some requirements, according to NATO’s website. “There’s a lot of criteria for NATO membership. Ukraine didn’t really meet any of those, although it was on a path to meeting those,” Monaghan said. “And NATO was helping them meet those targets. There was a path then, but now that seems much, much less likely.” But Sloan explained that an unwritten reason why Ukraine was not allowed to join NATO was because of concerns from European leaders about how that would affect their relationship with Russia. “There are a lot of European Allies who were dead set against inviting Ukraine because they had hopes that they could develop a closer relationship with Moscow,” Sloan said. “So there was both the formal and technically accurate reason, but also an unspoken, for the most part, political reason as well,” he added. Monaghan explained that Russia’s strategy has been to foment conflicts in countries that might join NATO to make that process more difficult, like what is happening in Ukraine right now.
