I would not consider sending a similar message, but supportive my own beliefs, to people in my email address book. If I did, I would fully expect to get told off and i would deserve it.

Why is this garbage preaching considered to be okay to inflict on people?

And, of course, I have the good manners and breeding to just quietly delete it. The problem with not behaving as crassly and ignorantly as "christians" do, is that they then believe they've got a green light to just keep sending more and more of this completely offensive stuff.

I made it clear to everyone that sends me email that I will not tolerate anything that does not pertain directly to me. As a result I get no lolcats, no Rickrols, no solicitations, and no chain letters. In short, I only get stuff that I used to get via snail mail. Maybe you should stop whinging and act like you have real balls.

Do you need help going online and blocking an email address or domain? I'll be glad to help you.

You can also set rules so that if you get an email from an address that it goes into your spam box automatically.

I have 44 telemarketer numbers of my cell phone's reject list. If it isn't local and I don't know the number, it goes on my call rejection list. People call the house enough, I put them on a call block list. If I don't know the number, I don't answer it. If someone calls the house with a blocked number, I let the answering machine answer the phone.

I can't control who calls my phone with the current technology but I can handle how I respond by ignoring it, blocking it and not letting it bother me. If I answer by mistake, I have no problem hanging up on someone in mid sentence.

I generally don't let people solicit me.

As far as stress goes, ask yourself what is really important. You're getting upset instead of dealing with it yourself and making it bother other people when you could have just put a stop to it.

Why do you think it is our fault? Anyone of your friends who don't believe in God could have signed you up because they know it bothers you. You probably don't really know how you got on the list. You hang out in a forum that ridicules God so any one of those people who might know your email address could sign you up because they know it bothers you. I don't identify the majority of the Christians here as the problem makers but you posted it here to blame them and I don't think you can really identify the cause.

How did you get on Billy Graham's email list? That is what I am wondering, Luddly. I'm not on it and I have never received anything from his ministry. There is a solution. At the bottom of those type emails is an unsubscribe link. Click it and then click unsubscribe and that will stop the mail from coming to your email box. On the other hand, I have been praying the LORD sends people across your path to minister to you but I meant in person. Not an email. I see I am going to have to be more specific in my prayers! Thanks for the heads up.

I block anyone's future emails who send me politiical or religious messages. After being given a warning the first time, I even block family members who do this repeatedly. AS a result, I simply do not get these emials anymore.

I think if they don't want the emails their privacy should be respected. Otherwise it is being rude and love is not rude. There are plenty of threads on the religion forum if someone feels like reading them and if they don't they can bypass that thread but to invade their space with emails they don't want isn't right in my opinion. If the church of Satan was sending emails to my email box I definitely wouldn't appreciate it. I don't want to bother atheists with my beliefs - if I meet them, know their s/n or name I pray for them on my own time - pray for their protection, that someone who is a christian will do something kind for them, help them if they have a flat tire - reach out in some way to minister the love of God to them and then they will perhaps think about the love of God. Annoying them with unwanted emails isn't going to work. It is just going to turn them off. If someone says this is not something I want to discuss then that wish should be respected. That is my 2 cents. - Jeri p.s. mass emails from ministries should always have an unsubscribe link so the person can stop that mail from coming to their email box.
