Beto O'Rourke: "F--- the rules, we are going to win whatever it takes."

If the Neo-GOP doesn't have to follow established rules, administrative regulations and procedures, or follow established precedent unless it is prescribe by law, why should the Democrats continue to follow them?

Of all the places to find this out was Meet the Press. Texas already has redrawn district map when it didn't involve the census. They did in back in 2003, after regaining control of the state legislature for the first time in 130 years. Cases were brought against it. One of the cases was brought to the Supreme Court. The Supremes upheld Texas' new district map minus one district.

The US Supreme Court issued an opinion on the case in League of United Latin American Citizens v. Perry on June 28, 2006. While the Court said states are free to redistrict as often as desired, the justices ruled that Texas's 23rd congressional district was invalid, as it violated Section 2 of the 1965 Voting Rights Act by racial gerrymandering. This decision required lawmakers to adjust boundaries in line with the Court's ruling. So, that district, and four others nearby were redrawn and passed in Federal District Court.

So, I guess the other states threatening to redistrict their maps because of Texas have the green light to do so, regardless of what Texas does. However, you can't say that republicans are not following established precedent or rules. Texas, literally, got the precedent to do so two decades ago.

Um...
The point to all this is the GOP has threatened to do what the Democrats have been doing for decades, and the Democrats are throwing a tantrum.
You knew that, right?

The GOP has controlled Texas for about 5 decades.

"An important role in ending Democratic control of Texas politics came with John Tower’s election to the U.S. Senate in 1961. Tower won against the conservative Democratic establishment with the help of liberal Democratic media like the Texas Observer, which endorsed him."

The Democrats had Ma Richards and The Dallas Gay Mafia and Austin Weirdos and Brave Combo Artists well into the early 2000s

Look at you, choosing to miss the point.
And lying while doing it.

WOW so have republicans.
All have done so in a year or so after a census.

So why did republicans call for a special session to redraw their districts, NOW?
Joe Biden was sure busy packing districts with illegal aliens to fool the census into giving the Democrats more seats.

****....Trump has already killed over 300,000 poor people throughout the world by shutting down USAID.

It will be over 10 million dead by the time that evil **** leaves the White House.....if he ever does.
Who died? Do you have any names

So, republicans are the ones who redrew them after the 2020 census..........

Yeah... We went though this as well. We could easily have eliminated a Democrat seat in Missouri, but we chose not to, in an attempt to appease the Democrats. We want peace. But instead of peace, the situation just gets worse.

You cannot appease an opponent who wants to destroy you.
