Germans i met in Austria where usually friendly

For example in hospital when i had back surgery a few years ago
There was a German Security guard
I went out in wheelchair in the middle of the night to smoke he didnt only opened the door for me but also drove me in the wheelchair
After a few times i bought him a coffee
Austrians are friendly too but i dont mention them because they are the norm population here
And a few times when i met a German i could talk good to them

Austrians are Germans.

When the Habsburg Empire broke up, they originally considered calling the rump part of Austria "German Austria", but then that got confusing, and they just called it "Austria".

The only reason Austria isn't part of Germany is that, before WWI, it had its own little Polyglot Empire with the Hungarians, Slovaks, Poles, Czechs, etc. After WWII, they weren't allowed to join with a divided Germany again, and Austria got away with claiming they were Hitler's first victim and not open collaborators.
