I would vote for the candidate closest to the same beliefs I have on the issues. I sure as hell don't want anybody that holds their RELIGION above any laws & rights American citizens deserve... & so far the so called 'Christians' have a stranglehold on the fundie market when it comes to that.

Remember how 'concerned' people were when JFK was running/elected & a lot of people thought his Catholicism was going to be a factor in the way he ran his administration? That turned out to be a non starter as well.

Whether people vote based on a candidate's religion would be their personal choice, & is secondary anyways to the matter on hand.
