It's very pleasant waking up to the peace and serenity of a good snow covered landscape this morning. It especially pops on the pines. Though the other trees have their own apeal whe nblanketd in just the right kind of snow. Which it appears to be. Tha good, wet but fluffy stuff. I love it. The cardinals and a bunch of the other bird community are out there under the feeders and tucked under the branches. They really pop, too. The Blue Jays are out there calling for their peanuts. So I guess I'll head out there and enjoy their company for a bit. It's a fair trade.

Heck. I think I'm gonna turn this bad juju off and have some hot tea and bathe in it fro the kitchen window table. And I never have hot tea...

We had 7 inches yesterday, I have 4 white pines in my front yard, about 30 feet tall, covered in snow, it's beautiful. Right now wind chills outdoors is -20 to -30 but the snow yesterday was super light and easy to shovel.

Cardinals are my favorite, and we get quite a few around here, they look amazing against the snow.

Our backyard already. Hasn't been this early in years.
Haven't even got my snowmobiles ready yet. :(

This has been the earliest snowfall in a long, long time. Hell, for years, we barely even got any snow, think we got a total of around 10-12 inches last winter, and now winter has not even begun yet and we have easily exceeded last years total.

This is good though, as we didn't have rain for over 2 months last summer. We are way behind on precipitation.

I've used my snowblower more in the last couple weeks than all of last winter.
Yesterday's high was -1 and woke up to -18 this morning.

It not that cold here, thankfully. Gosh. That's realy cold.

All the more reason to enjoy all of that bliss from windows.

I was gonna go to the cantata this morning and listen to the choir sing Christmas songs but they cancelled. I guess because it's pretty much just the older folks who go.

Window weather from my snowy locale this morning.

Yea, maybe you will keep yours at your latitude, where I'm at, the snow will all be gone by Wednesday, when it is back to the mid 40's, so today I'm using my new LL Bean snow boots to go walk around in it while the sun is shining

Beautiful until you have to shovel it. Sigh

15th post
It was 29 at 0630, now it's 23 and the wind from the NW is kicking up. Supposed to blow 20-30 mph later.

Sun is out though.....High of 27 predicted.

Oh well, the wood stove is a good place to sit by on a day like today. :)

A little gloomy and in the 40’s here behind Texas’ pine curtain all day. I gotta turn the lights on the tropicals before they get damaged by tonight’s freeze.
Think I’ll see if that doe is still crossing my south fence line.

We are supposed to hit the high 30's also, but won't be enough to melt a foot on the ground.
The one downside of early snow is it makes it tougher for the lakes to form good ice for fishing. Some brave/crazy souls are out fishing already though.

got a small Toro electric blower, handled it just fine light enough I can take it up and blow the roof off Iffin I wanted too.
