They happen all the time. They happen for reasons and sometimes they happen for no reason. Bad things are not good things so let's be clear that even the most positive and optimistic person no matter his/her determination to do so cannot paint every natural/unnatural event that takes place with a silver lining. Some things just rate EVIL and that's that! Bad things happen and they hurt good people. Sometimes they hurt bad people....but they happen.....yes......they actually do happen.
Now then I realize that there is a contingent out there who insists that we must find new and better ways to prevent " Bad Things " from happening but truthfully it is a whimsical folly that carried beyond the practical applications like building codes and sanitary food rules leads into the infinitesimal pursuit of endless trivial and uncontrollable layers of happenstance. Simply put you can't do it. Now the one sure fire way to prevent anything bad from happening to anyone is to kill everyone right now. Once every last person on earth is dead....the possibility of bad things happening will finally be where lefty wants it to be....at zero.
Whenever we have a tragedy like 9-11 or the most recent in South Carolina we should look at what happened and try to discover if there is a way to prevent it from happening again....but the one option that is missing these days from all of these types of investigations is the pragmatic reality that sometimes there is nothing to do, no adjustments to make...no secret strategy to enforce. One thing it does do however is provide fodder for the agenda hounds. Never waste a crisis.....once a crisis raises it's ugly head we have a large number of people who run for their lists of things that they don' t like and try to tie the events together with their pet peeves. After this they begin the process of ass-ramming this angle up everyone else's butt ( cadaver bangers! ) using the tragedy as leverage for their argument.
.... BAD THINGS HAPPEN.... they happen all the time.....it is a rule of the natural universe and very far beyond the ability and influence of man to change it.
