I sincerely hope you are right about the change. As a boomer one year younger than Trump, I remember his early interviews starting in the late '70s when he was often introduced as a "young Robert Redford."

I could never fathom why many of these interviews included asking him about any future political ambitions. Even then he could barely string two sentences together in a remotely cohesive sense.

I now suspect he requested (or paid for) such queries.

It was beyond impossible to imagine him where he is today.
