If you happen to be one of the “few good citizens who get picked up by mistake” you might think differently
And it’s amazing how much trust you people have in the government to get it right
That’s “new”

If a person breaks the law, tough shit, they have to pay whatever the appropriate price is. Or, at least that's the way it's supposed to go. But protesting itself is not illegal. So those people have a right to protest, and the law has every right to arrest those who then break a law, if they do. Me, I've never been into that, but I sure as hell believe in freedom of expression for both ends. So I support it.Mac1958 , if the protestors all just went about their days and nights, not protesting. And simply left the LEO, ICE and the NG do their jobs, (collecting illegals and criminals), who would be affected?
Illegals, criminals and a few legal good citizens that get picked up by mistake. (but are released shortly afterwards once they're found to be decent citizens in good standing with the law)
These protestors are acting on a conspiracy. That the government is trying to take away decent folks rights. They ain't protesting because the government is actually doing it.
If and when the government oversteps it's bounds, then the masses will come out and protest. But until then, these conspiracy protestors just look like idiots. And are giving Trump and his administration more fodder to keep it up.
And so more and more of these conspiracy protestors are going to break the law and end up in jail.
Shocker. Mac&Chees says it's OK to stop traffic. Tear up billion dollar paintings, set fires, break windows. Looting, flashmobs, naked on streets, chained glued to structures etc. Cost taxpayer money to clean it up.If a person breaks the law, tough shit, they have to pay whatever the appropriate price is. But as the partial list in the OP points out, this is just one area in which this administration has gone too far. I've had the very same argument with the Left here, where they'd point out that one instance of weaponized Political Correctness was no big deal, and ignored the other zillion and the bigger context.
This administration now has a well-earned image. Across the board. Globally. Obviously a lot of Americans want a heavy handed, authortarian, punitive government. There are plenty of us across the political spectrum who see far too much history to support that.
The US economy is growing. Did you forget already? America first. The tariffs are due to unfair trade practices of other countries and they are the ones who are hurting for that, not the US. That could have all been avoided if they had been playing fair in the first place. One person, empowered by his enablers and sycophants, has managed to (a) throw the world economy into chaos with his bizarre, wildly erratic tariff gambit, (b) throw global geopolitics into a tailspin with his soft-handed approach to an aggressive Russian tyrant and pugilistic behaviors towards America's former friends, and (c) put America itself on the edge of social collapse by openly taking sides in its most sensitive sociological/cultural moment in decades, and (d) inspire one of the great religions of the world to sell its soul to a person who is essentially the opposite of the deity it claims to follow.
One person has created a chaos most of us have never seen, because he has been allowed to.
That's because this has never been about that one person. This is about a country that is so sick and manipulable that it has allowed its priorities to become entirely perverted. Bad enough that this would happen to ANY country. But the most important, dynamic country in the world? It's still a little difficult to digest.
As this collapse continues, does anyone have any guesses as to what this country looks like in 20 years?

Another example of why I no longer engage with the cult. This is the OPPOSITE of what HE QUOTED me saying. I'm for freedom of expression, from BOTH ends, not lawbreaking.
Alternate realities. Bizarre.
These people are just too goddamn dense.

The only thing in real chaos are the protestors (paid). Look at them, in their furry outfits, their blow up dolls and their megaphones.
Missed the point Muck.
ah, so the protestors arent paid because they were before paid via USAID.Missed the point Muck.
Ain't too many professionally printed signs anymore due to Trump killing all the NGO'S funded through the Dems money laundry at USAID.
I didn't say that did I?ah, so the protestors arent paid because they were before paid via USAID.
its sortof inferred when you talk of money laundering thru USAID in the context of paid protestors.I didn't say that did I?
Never mentioned paid protestors. Your meme reminded me of what I haven't seen at several gatherings of LW wackos......and that's a lack of professionally printed signs.its sortof inferred when you talk of money laundering thru USAID in the context of paid protestors.
