Oh that's the 2 pick off attempts per batter rule. If the pitcher tries to pick off the guy at first a 3rd time he gets second base.

lol...i remember a game were steve carlton failed in a pick off...after he got the ball back he threw over there again and he and the first basemen played catch to keep the runner there...they threw it back and forth at least 4x....

Nick Kurtz' bat he used in his 4 homer game is headed to Cooperstown. Not bad, 22 years old in the Majors for 4 months and you got your bat in the Hall of Fame. Wow!
