It is neither. It is just a common atmospheric phenomena that occurs over top large thunderheads due to an accumulation of ice crystals.

It was just a bit of an iridescent cloud effect, sometimes caused by the heavy updraft of a thunderhead leading to the injection of water droplets at a very high altitude just right and under just the right conditions to allow the refraction of light into a rainbow of colors.
