Are you proud to be an American?

I am amused by people who try to claim that "my family came over on da Mayflower!" makes them somehow more American. Talk about missing the point.

I never said that you stupid SOB.
You said American. Its not my fault you didn't specify. So, Cuban American? :auiqs.jpg:

For me I am proud of the history of the US, moving from a Republic made by and for wealthy plantation owners, to a Republic for the hoi paloi. Its long struggle and march of rights for slaves, women, and citizens of all color and creed has to respected and applauded. We still have work to do and its been a long road, but we have come far. Now for the rest of the way.

The best we can tell, mine came in on two French three masters, and much later a common tramp steamer.

I’m amused by people who refuse to acknowledge that “American” is a behavioral thing… I know IMMIGRANTS who are better Americans than purple hair nose ringing homosexuals are.

You seem angry because you can't make a proper definition. You should contact Unkatore. he can help you with your English.

Isee you and raise you James Brown

Who then post over and over about people's names and fear of "dark people"?

The way I view it, being proud or embarrassed is a matter of either personal accomplishment or regret. Those I see as being rightfully proud to be an American are those that took the risk of leaving security of their homeland to become a useful member of our society. Those embarrassed to be Americans, should be for their lack of courage to do as the immigrants just mentioned have done.
Modern “immigrants” are a drain on society, they’re destructive to society…Do you speak of pre welfare white and Asian immigrants…the last immigrants who improved and enhanced America? Or are you referring to a micro percentage that no one should take the time to pay attention to?

Proof that colleges across the country are trying to destroy America.

These kids would rather live under the rule of a real tyrant and dictator, President Xi.

I guess America is on its way.

I'm proud of the Founding Fathers and what lengths they went to secure a free nation. They shed their blood and risked their lives for our sake. Too bad subsequent leaders didn't follow suit. Today's "representative government" represents just about everyone BUT Americans. So can't say I'm proud of current leadership but I am proud of my American heritage.

You're just a sad little puppy

If you don't have pride in this nation get the **** out. You won't, you'd rather sit there in your panties sniping at people. You're fckn tiresome
I was in Jr. High when we invaded Vietnam, and I wasn`t proud. I was a grown up when we went looking for WMDs that we KNEW weren`t there and thousands died for our bullshit. Nope, I wasn't proud then either because I knew right from wrong at an early age. I wouldn`t goose step for any country.

The Founding Fathers owned human beings. It was only a free nation for some.

Can you define which America you are proud of? It would sure be helpful.
