I am not really concerned one way or the other about recreational use of marijuana, but that "medical" shit with a doctor's prescripton and all that service of process with a "prognosis" and for a cancer diagnosis or something like that's got to go.

Right now a Quinnipiac Poll has those in favor of full legalization at an all time high, a record 69%.

91% of Americans think it should be legal for either medical use or recreational use.

Do it, but NO insurance liability.

What does that mean?

Any medical issues associated wit cannabis impairment will not be covered by insurance.

Well, does the same work for driving under the influence of alcohol? You can get a DUI for both cannabis and alcohol.

I would not drive under either alcohol or pot, but alcohol makes you feel like you can drive, while pot tends to make people more paranoid and aware of their impairment.

Rhetorical question. It should have never been prohibited. To answer yes or no, is to legitimize the prohibition of it by corporate, and racist interests of the early 20th century.

Agreed.
The only basis for law is defense of inherent individual rights.
Since laws about drugs defends the rights of no one, these drug laws were always criminal.
There should never have been a War on Drugs, and it illegal imprisoned millions of innocent people.

Nope. We already have enough stupid people in the world without having to worry about them being both stupid and stoned.
hate to break the news to you,, but it would blow your mind how many people are already doing it and you dont even know,

And many of them are quite intelligent.

Possibly even more intelligent due to the insight and perspectives due to the drugs.

As with alcohol, any perception of increased consciousness or insight while intoxicated is purely illusory.

Alcohol is a depressant so mental activity is decreased.
That makes some people feel a lot better because they may be over worried about how others are judging them.
But other drugs clearly can increase mental activity, or at least cause one to reconsider things that they took for granted, without any introspection before.
Of course stimulants can also be over done, and then people do not take the time or have the patience to think deeply about anything.
In short, I think most of what we consider to be rational thought normally is what is illusory, and often drugs, even alcohol, can be an improvement.
We often to not really think about behavior we have been conditioned to, and an altered state of consciousness is often beneficial or an improvement because those habits of accepting what we have been conditioned to get challenged.

Doesn't work that way.
In fact, the most dangerous state of mind is the all consuming materialism of people like Bill Gates.

I've read your posts. I suspect you're either doing too many drugs, or not nearly enough.

I've red your posts. I suspect you're either doing too many drugs, or not nearly enough.

Seems pretty clear to me.
There is no legal basis for nanny laws that try to save one from their own bad choices.
So how do you think my logic is impaired?

(By the way, you have a typo, where "red" should be "read".)

Absolutely 100% against legalizing that shit. People are savage enough, distracted enough, braindead enough without any intentional chemical alteration. If our so-called leaders cared about American life or civilization they'd publicly execute people who use it, send a clear message, put an end to it forever. Marijuana is a religion; a cult of fanatics. That's it.

That's pretty damn funny coming from a guy who quotes an alcoholic in his sig! lol

Have you considered you know nothing about it?
Drugs normally don't make you savage in any way, quite the opposite usually.
They can make you distracted.
But what is so important that it is more important than thinking about who you are and what your place in life should be?
Drugs don't make you braindead.
The pressures of the rat race do that.

There simply is no legal basis for any drug laws at all, and the Founders would not have been in favor of them.
There were no drug laws in the time of the founders.

And no, pot is not a religion. It is not centralized nor does anyone try to tell you want to do.
In fact, it is the exact opposite.
It encourages every person to think for themselves.

Christ. Lighten up, that post sounded pretty savage.

Cash was also a drug addict qualifying him for that public execution...
