Axios Scoop: Trump Set to Reclassify Marijuana Soon

EAOs are all based on passed laws.
Not trump's EOs, or actually anybody else's. Executive Orders are short cut executive directives, actual to the people operating under the executive branch, (which isn't everybody, by the way), and are shotcut around the laws that either they did not have the time to wait to be passed, or they knew would never be passed. Sometimes, they are challenged in court, sometimes ruling them illegal on constitutional or legal grounds under our laws and constitution. But, no. They are not based on laws. If there were a law for something to be done, there would be no need for an Executive Order, other than a photo op.

The DEA is an executive agency. Who is the executive?
Terry Cole the current DEA administrator (nominated by Trump, confirmed by the Senate, reports to the Attorney General, whoever that is, these days.

Congress/law makers are worthless, we’re too divided, we hate each other, we won’t work together on shit.
We pay those assholes to work together for the good of the country, not themselves and not their two fkd up parties, but that seems to have stopped after Clinton left office. Now they like to grandstand to raise money, rarely working for the common good unless they can screw the other side at the same time. Pityful! :hmpf:

You are so full of shit. Go back to your fantasy world and leave the board to people with a handle on reality.
so you make an accusation, but cant prove it?...yea connie go back to your fantasy world chump...

Mostly Trump just overruled or changed laws on the books, by executive action only, (nothing lasting), as he could not pass what he wanted, even with control of the House, the Senate and his appointments to the Supreme Court. Which is why many have been challenged and overturned.

No, he clarified how the executive would execute laws passed by congress. That is all an Executive Order is.

BS. You mean like Executive Order 1434 renaming the Department of Defense to the Department of War? A department established by Congress as the Department of Defense, by the National Security Act of 1947, a law passed by both houses of congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman, is up to Trump to rename by personal whim, over the actual law, passed and signed into law, not by Executive action, but actual law?

You mean like the EO 14351, Gold Card for selling visas? BS
You mean like Trump EO14346 using National Emergencies Act to establish Tariff. Supremes killed that one, and now we are giving US corporations their tariff money back, though the citizen that paid the corporations for the product getting nothing?

This is just a few. He as had 5 outright overridden by HIS Supreme Court as clearly against the law and US Constitution. 61 were blocked by lower Federal Courts.

First, it's 14347. Second, it recognizes the law and states the name changes are for non statutory purposes only.

No. It was definitely 1947 when the National Security Act passed into law. We are a long way from the year 14347. Is that a typo? Law is law, unless overturned by newer law or a Supreme Court decision. You simply cannot legally change an act of both houses of Congress and signed into law by a President, with some later Presidents executive order. That is not how it legally works, according to law and the Constitution of the United States.

Then apparently you just failed to read, before posting I was wrong about 1947. That makes you the idiot, if you cannot read and know what you are responding to. It definitely was passed in 1947, with both houses of Congress and the Presidential signature. So what both houses and a President sign into LAW, another president cannot legally veto and do as they please 79 or 80 years later, on just a little EO, to override the law, he never even tried to have changed by the congress that wrote it. It's just not how that works. Who ever heard of president of peace overriding congress to rename Department of Defense (as we have the right to defend) to the department of war, for his little warmongering turn of mind.
