Are the red blooded NFL and reality show loving people of suburban America ready for a space adventure?

They are bringing classic style "Trek" back.

How are modern viewers going to react to it? In the age of gritty adventures like "Game of Thrones" and "The Walking Dead" will modern viewers not have any interest or with all the bad stuff happening in the world today are TV viewers going to hunger for shows that are optimistic like "Ted Lasso" and the upcoming "Strange New Worlds"?

How are the NFL and reality show loving people of suburban America going to react to space adventure? Would "aliens" and "laser guns" turn this demographic off? For something set in space to appeal to the suburbanites would it have to be an "astronaut soap opera"?

Do TV show producers need a new and refreshing space adventure?

The main characters are all reprising their roles from Star Trek Discovery. Anson Mount spent almost an entire season as Captain Pike and Ethan Pike played Spock, which is Michael Burnham's adopted brother.

I watched the first two seasons of Discovery, but quickly grew tired of the show after Captain Pike returned to the Enterprise.
