Some sects of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam preach this garbage. Other religious sects might do this as well. If it is kept within their sects, and just kick people out who don't like it, they are fine. If they try to use government to impose this on other people not in their sects, they are entirely out of order. It has been difficult, if not impossible, to explain to these idiots that women and LGBTs also have the right to choose which religion, if any, to follow, and they probably won't choose one of these sects.

No one practices all religions. We each live by the one we choose.

I agree that it is hard to have the homophobes and misogynous recognize that we are all equal under all decent laws, --- and that theirs is not decent.

However, they are widely practiced by many Islamic cultures, in some cases as a matter of not only religious law, but civil law as well (Iran, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, etc.).
