Approximately how well would a reproduction seax work as a camping knife?

Lol. Nope. A large knife (think about 30 cm long, 5 cm across, 10 cm handle, and roughly 0.5 kg) with a broken back and no handleguard.

I'm sure it would work great for camping. I like having a guard, but its not critical. As long as it is quality steel, it should do what you need.
