Correct in general, but you are analyzing in a void. When 5 million cubic miles of ice melts, it creates rivers and lakes, including FRESH WATER lakes duh duh duh....
So you could actually explain the scratch in Indiana as a chunk of ice that broke off way further north and flowed with the river until it hit something and scratched it.

The "Glacial Maximum" in the above map was originally dated at 50 million years ago, part of what was called North American Ice Age prior to 2012, when this happened..
I can't believe the amount of absolute garbage in the above post.
There is no way in hell the top image is "3 million years ago", since the current ice age cycle only started around 2.6 million years ago.
For anybody that is curious, this is close to what North America actually looked like 3 million years ago.
And several things should be immediately obvious. First of all, almost all of Florida is underwater. Secondly, no Great Lakes. Those as we know them today were created by the ice sheets, at this time that area would have more closely resembled Eastern Washington geologically. With scattered outcroppings of basalt poking out of almost a billion years of deposits. Also, Central California is an inland sea.
And to the west of the Mississippi River is the Paleo-Bell River.
And no, that map showing the "Last Glacial Maximum" was not dated to 50 million years ago, and called the North American Ice Age prior to 2012. Holy crap, you really do simply make shit up and expect people to believe it no matter what.
It was never dated to 50 million years for one simple reason. It was considerably newer than a great many volcanic deposits that it rested upon. Hell, that would make some of that glaciation older than the Rocky Mountains themselves! 50 MYA is during the Laramide Orogeny that formed that mountain range in the first place.
And sure as hell at 50 MYA the placement of the Cascades really makes no sense, as well as the Sierra Range. The former is one of the youngest ranges on the planet at 37 mya (and still forming and growing), the latter is only slightly older at around 40 mya.
And forget the image I posted of North America 3 mya, 50 mya is so alien most would never recognize it.
Welcome to the real North America, 50 mya. And yes, indeed the "West Coast" at that time was somewhere around Central Washington running down to around the California-Nevada-Arizona border area. Most of the land that makes up the coast we know today at that point were still island chains and micro-continents still out at sea on the Farallon Plate. What we know as "Baja California" is still sitting on a piece of crust somewhere around the equator.
Now I have no idea where you got that map you presented, I can only guess from some kind of pseudo-science site that also believes in Young Earth Creationism and that humans rode dinosaurs. But I can immediately tell it is full of crap, and here is why.
There is a good image of the glaciation south of the Great Lakes. And as can clearly be seen, it includes the last glaciation (the Wisconsin Glaciation). I have absolutely no idea where or why you made up the crap about "North American Ice Age", the LGM has been known in North America as the Wisconsin Glaciation since 1894!
And as can be clearly seen also, is the Illinois Glaciation, which is the cycle before the most recent one. That one was also named in 1894, because even then it was obvious the till and drumlins did not come from the most recent event but was significantly older. And at the same time in 1894, the previous was all just given the name of "Pre-Illinois Glaciation", as the evidence was so faint and almost impossible to interpret that it was all just thrown into a single classification.
You really do need to stop making crap up.
If you want to learn some real geology and not simply make up nonsense, here is a good place to start. An actual Geology Professor who talks about Wisconsin and Illinois era tills in Washington State. And the fact that this has been known for over 100 years.
Kinda proves that everything you were just trying to claim is bogus.

And the way he keeps trying to claim that the planet is unchanged 3 and 50 million years ago can only lead me to believe he is a Young Earth Creationist. Where the way the planet is today is the way it has always been, and will always be. Plate Tectonics is as much a fantasy to those types as the world being round and man landing on the moon is just conspiracy.
Either he is simply finding maps that back up his claims, or he is just making up claims that do not actually equate to what his maps present. But notice, I actually find maps that back up the known evidence, but are also dated so it is clear that this is not just me go "Trust me, Bro", but something that others say and is almost universally accepted among geologists.

There is no "ice age cycle" other than when land gets to 600 miles to the pole until it moves beyond 600 miles to the pole.
Every ice age is continent specific. North America was 50 million years ago until now, since Ellesmere is still in ice age. Greenland started 1-2 million years ago, Antarctica 40 million years ago, and both have grown a new ice layer every year since.
Except for the minor issue that there was over 5 million cubic miles of ice on top of that....
The Great Lakes were already dug out 3 million years ago, except there was nothing but 2.5 mile thick ice in them.
is completely refuted by the fact that 90% of Earth ice on Antarctica has grown 21000 new ice layers since.
It was for decades until CO2 FRAUD was busted by that fact. That's why homO went silent...
