Do you believe an individual is more important then the group he/she belongs to? Or vice versa? We all put up with all people with somewhat different ways and ma many of the same ways across the nation. When there is an element of trepidation by some in one group towards another and it is genuine, it causes a group to be marred. When the media hides a lot of the flaws of a group, it dehumanizes that group as to improvements. Individuals who attempt to get out of that stagnating environment then at times suffer for the actions of a percentage of said group. So an anger and an attitude toward another group can manifest and it does. Those who leave the group's way of thinking to join the unique American culture are ridiculed and demeaned not because they are ass kissers but because they shed the false pride that has chained the group into self sentenced slavery. There are many African Americans like other people who have varying levels of self pride that will not leave the plantation. And if they show success, they still have mistrust of another culture because of the social web of insults they would receive. So we as a nation can not get past a certain point. The other culture has even adopted some of the black culture into it. And it is still not enough. The danger is the ever rising taxes and need of revenues. And this can not last.
