“No income tax on overtime”…..Does such a policy excite Freedom Fighting Libertarians and the like? Are the Parties still “the same”?

Yep, a tax cut for positive contributing high earning Brian Armstrong and a monthly EBT card sent to jobless Guadalupe Maria Perez Gamez with a litter of foreigners are one and the same.
According to whom? You think government is there to decide who is "positive contributing"?? You're such a ******* fascist.

According to whom? You think government is there to decide who is "positive contributing"?? You're such a ******* fascist.
I’ll play along….
While you may, us sane people in touch with reality don’t need government to determine such simple shit for us.
Since in this context we are talking about taxes /tax code, let’s assume someone contributing to the treasury is a positive contributor and someone not contributing but taking from the treasury is not a positive contributor.
Does that make it easier for you?

What makes more sense…..
Tax exempt overtime or free healthcare for Mexico’s people?
How about…
Tax exempt overtime or free college for Mexico’s people and people who agreed to loans?

Idiot ^^^ still thinks every immigrant is from Mexico.

The federal government doesn't rely on taxes to have enough money to spend, since it's the exclusive issuer of the USD. State and local governments do rely on taxes, be it income tax or a sales tax, or property taxes, but not Uncle Sam. If a tax credit or government grant is given to families, it will simply deposit that money in their bank accounts or print a check and send it to them. If the rich get their grants:

Then working-class families can get their government assistance too. Many of you right-wingers never make a stink about socialism for the rich, just when it's socialism for working-class people, that's when you get all bent out of shape and start shouting "Bums!", "freebies!".etc. Rich people get help from Uncle Sam, no problem, no stink, no shouting, you're OK, but working-class people get some help, it's the end of the world. The sky is going to collapse, China is going to invade us, "commies!". The average Joe-American is getting some help from Uncle Sam,
"Oh No!!! Uncle Sam is a commie! Oh No!".

mkay. Democrats are bad. I agree. So is Trump.

There are some Trump’s policies I don’t agree with, but the fact you are arguing that giving money to people is the same as taking less money from people screams TDS, not serious policy concerns.

Real 'libertarians' wouldn't tax wages at all. Wages aren't income, they're barter. 'Income taxes' are just a way for the wealthy to dump all the taxes on the bottom half of the economic pyramid.

You list subsidies to companies. Why do you think donations are given to companies by both Republicans and Democrats? In part is because even Democrats know that we must have strong companies for our country to succeed. They have sold their minons on this “bad corporation” mantra and yet the Democrats give to big corporations just like Republicans do.

You mention socialism for the “rich”. What socialism is that? My family is “rich” by most standards. I would love to know what benefits we are getting. I can list many things we don’t get. No direct ROTH contributions(only rollovers). No stimulus checks. No child tax credits, etc. We aren’t at the level where we can afford a team of accountants to find obscure loopholes. Most “rich” aren’t.

Interestingly, many ultra-wealthy are Democrats and they evidently don’t like “paying their fair share” either as they went nuts when Trump capped the SALT deduction at 10k, which disproportionally affected higher earners, particularly in high tax blue states. They loved the fact that they could write off their 100k+ property tax, thus letting the federal government and all taxpayers subsidize their lavish properties and their fiscally irresponsible blue counties. Now both Trump and Harris want to remove the cap, helping more affluent people. Many ultra-wealthy are Democrats and they are responsible for creating a false narrative around the rich not paying their “fair share”. That narrative has fooled the poorest of the poor and some in the middle class to believe that the these rich Democrats support policies to make rich people “pay their fair share”, when in reality, the “rich” don’t include them. The “rich” are the working upper class(400k+/yr), which is largely Republican, not the ultra-wealthy class, which are largely Democrat. The working “rich” pay MORE than their “fair share”.

One is promising to pay off student loans, they both are now for building a wall, one doesn’t want overtime taxed, the other wants to give people government money so the can buy a home, it is ridiculous and with debt at $35 trillion, we need to cut spending and raise taxes until we get debt under control, neither candidate wants to drop debt, they want more and there is ample proof of that. Are you really saying lower taxes and more spending will shrink debt?

I read recently that, the interest on our debt alone, increases that debt 1 trillion every 100 days.

It’s the ticking time bomb nobody is addressing and should be the #1 issue.

Amazing the hypocrisy and stupidity of you right-wing conservatives. How disgusting, is your double standard? Don't you have the brain, the intelligence, and conscience to see it? No, you don't, because you're a brainwashed tool. I insult you right off the bat because I've dealt with your bullshit and insults before, so you're fair game, for my contempt and insults.

Yes, indeed, under a capitalist market economy controlled by a plutocratic oligarchy, we definitely need privately owned business enterprises to generate jobs for the working class (i.e., the paying consumer). Without those capitalist parasites, who want to live off of other people's labor, exploiting human beings to generate a profit for themselves and wealthy shareholders, paying employees less than what they produce in the workplace, there aren't any jobs. I personally, as a democratic socialist and communist, have no problem, with subsidizing those capitalist parasites, because I understand that under our present capitalist market system, WE NEED JOBS.

However, what you fail to understand, because you're a brainwashed capitalist tool, is that WITHOUT WORKERS, there aren't any capitalist or jobs. HELLO? You're for helping capitalist stay in business, because they generate jobs. I agree, let's help the capitalists stay in business. HOWEVER, we also have to take care of their workers, HELLO? Why? Because without the working class, those who sell their labor power to a capitalist, there isn't a paying consumer, and if there are no paying consumers there isn't a market or any profits for the capitalists. You're left with socialism, which doesn't need capitalists.

Just as we must have STRONG businesses in a market-capitalist economy, we must also have STRONG workers, you idiot. Workers need to earn enough to live (i.e. earn a living wage)
. They need affordable food and housing, housing, healthcare, education, and employment opportunities (I prefer a government-backed and supported employment guarantee for every American). Workers need rights, and the means to protect those rights through their democratic government and labor unions. The workplace should be safe, and workers should have some say on how it's run, in other words, there should be some democracy in the place where people spend most of their waking hours (i.e. their jobs).

Right-wing, conservative Republican Jerks like you, are constantly complaining and griping when the government offers its goods and services to the working class, but you have no problem or simply are indifferent to when the government helps the rich and powerful. Sir, you are completely full of shit.

They have sold their minons on this “bad corporation” mantra and yet the Democrats give to big corporations just like Republicans do.

And you right-wing Jerks have your own mantras against the working class.

You mention socialism for the “rich”. Whatsocialism is that? My family is “rich” by most standards. I would love to know what benefits we are getting. I can list many things we don’t get. No direct ROTH contributions(only rollovers). No stimulus checks. No child tax credits, etc. We aren’t at the level where we can afford a team of accountants to find obscure loopholes. Most “rich” aren’t.

We've already gone back and forth on this lunatic, stupid point of yours, time and time again. Ask any employee or working class person if they would rather be in your position financially and otherwise or continue working for an hourly wage under a boss's heel like you, and that employee would most certainly choose to be in your position, having your financially security. So it's lunacy to suggest that a little capitalist like you, is in a worse position than your average 9 to 5 employee.

I forgot whether you're just a little capitalist who is self-employed or if you are an employer/exploiter, leeching off of other people's work. I haven't talked to you in a few months. I remember you telling me that you are an immigrant in this country or that your parents are. I'm a first-generation American and son of immigrants. So perhaps we have that in common.

"The “rich” are the working upper class(400k+/yr), which is largely Republican, not the ultra-wealthy class, which are largely Democrat. The working “rich” pay MORE than their “fair share”."

I'm not against the working rich, or even the capitalist parasites, provided they take good care of their workers and aren't against their workers having the right to the basics, i.e. food, adequate housing, a publicly run, universal healthcare option, tuition-free education, the right to unionize, the right to receive government assistance in forming labor cooperatives. If you're not against that, I don't care if you're a rich professional member of the working class, or a capitalist.

The thoracic cardiac surgeon who split my chest open with her surgical team of professional workers, who earn six-figure incomes, saved my life three years ago. They repaired my aortic aneurysm, replacing my ascending aorta with a dacron graft and they put in a mechanic aortic valve, that I'm now hearing, clicking in my chest - click click click click. I'm a union worker, who works with CNC machines, earning over $40+ hourly, with great benefits, hence my private insurance covered the price of my life-saving surgery.

However, my mother and her husband weren't so lucky, and when he got sick, due to him working as a machinist in South Florida rather than here in NYC where we are all unionized (we're both machinists), he wasn't a union-protected machinist and had to file for bankruptcy. He doesn't have the amazing benefits or salary that I have, due to living and working in an asshole-conservative state, run by draconian, barbaric Republicans, who don't give a shit about workers. In South Florida, pay is lower, fewer benefits, if any, and fewer worker rights. My step-father had to become dirt poor and get on Social Security Disability, filing for bankruptcy to get the healthcare that he needed (In Florida, being poor isn't enough to qualify for Medicaid, you need to be disabled as well).

The condition that he suffered from is suspected to be caused by working with CNC machines, that aren't properly equipped with adequate filters. Cheap, crappy filters. All of those fumes are in the workplace, and seriously compromise the air quality that workers are breathing. Our labor union, here in NY, is on the ball, inspecting those filters, making sure employers use the best filters and the air quality in our workplaces are safe, and clean. In South Florida, if you're working for capitalists, you're up the creek. They cut corners, to save money, buying shit filters, or they don't replace filters when they have to. Anyway, I had full coverage for my medical care, thanks to being a union worker, in New York State, whereas my stepfather lost everything. He's now recovered everything, including his health, and is enjoying his 70s+ as a retiree.

I don't care if you're a wealthy working-class person, good for you. You're a professional, I'm happy for you. But don't get in the way of other workers, receiving what they need, because when you do that, you're an adversary on the side of the wealthy capitalists, who want to cut corners, pay us less money, and reduce our power and rights. Don't get in the way, OK? When you do that, you become a treacherous scumbag. You have a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$, good for you, enjoy. Don't get in the way of other workers, having what they need to survive and thrive.

Why should a certain type of pay be exempt from income tax?

**** that, if I am paying tax on all my income, so should everyone else.

This is stupid pandering by your deity
It most likely is. But, let's be honest. There are no better panderers than Harris and the democrats.

The only thing worse than income tax, is taxation that's used as a political tool reward friends, punish enemies and buy votes.

We hear it over and over from Fence Sitters…..”The Parties are one and the same”
Does this policy create any separation for you small less invasive government types?
Just put everyone on 1 hour contracts ....... everything else is overtime.

I read recently that, the interest on our debt alone, increases that debt 1 trillion every 100 days.

Yes, corporate welfare is expensive, as are the many bailouts that the govt. is paying for.

    • Saying my post is "fake news" doesn't make it fake news. Why is it fake news?
