Why did god make a 600 year old man build the ark, instead of just popping one into existence, like he did everything else?
I get its about testing loyalty and obedience and such, or so I have seen explained. But then another question arises.
If god is omniscient, he didnt need to test Noah. He would have already known.

600 years was not that uncommon back then.

God has never just "popped" anything into existence. Besides, the point was for man to learn--- what would Noah have learned from God just gifting him an arc out of the clear blue?

Because Noah needed to test himself. Man builds strength through adversity.
Just look at any welfare program to see what you get when you give stuff away.

So god made him labor for decades so he could learn how to build a boat?
Test himself of what? Carpentry?

Now you are being deliberately obtuse.

NEXT UP: Will you question why God did not give man cellphones and TV just because he knew we'd need them 2000 years in the future?

No, thats super dumb.
And thanks for answering the questions. Your post is much clearer now. lol

You are trying to attack the Bible by asking questions of it no one can answer as proof of its fallibility by trying to interpret actions of God in terms that make sense to humans.

That does not work.

The Bible tells what, but seldom says why or how.

It makes literally 0 sense to me. Completely illogical.
I have also read that some people believe it was a "public billboard" so-to-speak, of a message to everyone. About loyalty and faith. But that makes 0 sense either, as god was about to murder every person on earth except for the old man and his inbred family(according to the book of jubilees).

What, that God directed Noah to build an arc to specific dimensions to save animals from a great flood instead of just zapping it into existence for him?

Why not then just zap the boat full of animals?

Why not make animals that don't poop?

Why not then just forgo the entire flood altogether in the first place?

What a dull place the world would be if everything was predetermined and there was no actual free will involved to anything.

It isn't meant to be LOGICAL. It is a story. Accept it on faith or not. The Bible is full of stuff that isn't logical or makes rational sense.

Why not then just zap the boat full of animals?
Good question. Making them poor things cross deserts, oceans and mountains.. What a jerk.
Why not make animals that don't poop?
Consumption requires poop.
Why not then just forgo the entire flood altogether in the first place?
I have touched on this before. Why he killed the whole planet, when he could have just sacrificed his son to save us from him, earlier.
What a dull place the world would be if everything was predetermined and there was no actual free will involved to anything.
I agree.
It isn't meant to be LOGICAL.
yeah, no crap lol. Thats the whole point. Its silly!

Well, I guess I'm not a good Christian then because after being baptized and raised a christian, there were too many questions the Bible nor orthodoxy answered to my satisfaction that I eventually looked elsewhere for better answers.

For instance, the whole thing with 6 days and resting on the 7th. A week is a time duration based on the Julian Calendar created for Earth, so why would the creation of the whole universe at the beginning of time be based on one much less have days and nights?

Days and nights are again a function of the spin of the Earth. There was no Earth at the creation of the universe unless one accepts the Earth as the universe, a flat plate sitting on the backs of elephants with crystal spheres overhead moving the sun, moon, planets and stars.

It doesn't wash.

I suppose He could have popped a 600-year-old man into existence, but one was already available.

Man has been tracking the annual movement of the Sun along the analemma for at least 40,000 years.
For people to be 600 years old, this analemma thingy musta been ten times faster or sumpin. You know, different world and all back then.
