Another illegal Obama scheme exposed. DACA ruled unconstitutional.

Do you think they should be deported in the mean time--to a nation where they have never been as an adult-- and go to the "back of the line" as they used to say?
Of course not, they should be first in line for a path to citizenship. I am all for legal immigration, that is what helped make America great. This is what should have been done years ago.

Same here.

But since Congress won't make a law that addresses this unique situation and the constitution doesn't address people brought here without having the autonomy to say "yes" or "no" to coming here outside of indentured servitude (i.e. slaves), what was the President supposed to do? Just say..."Well, life sucks kid... you've been here for 15 years, have no family in Mexico...but we've got to deport you even though it wasn't your choice to come here in the first place?"
The President is suppose to enforce the laws on the books. He took an oath to do exactly that, Simp.

He isn't suppose to make up laws on his own.

Both Reagan and George Herbert Walker Bush offered a relief type of amnesty protection for certain groups of illegals through executive order...prior to congress passing their bill on immigration reform and amnesty and any subsequent related laws.

No republican or democrat challenged it in court so, it seemed to be constitutional..... when Obama did it....being that it was done by two prior presidents.

The challenge in court, proved all 3 presidents wrong.

They signed things passed by Congress.

They should never get to become U.S. citizens.

Because he was black, right?

The reality is that we have been at this for decades trying to shine a light on this VERY REAL problem that DC (both parties) has largely ignored.

It was continually ignored by most all the way up until Martha's Vineyard.

They signed things passed by Congress.
Nope! The relief and protection they gave were through executive order, PRIOR TO ANY BILL PASSING.

The bills did pass, eventually, which covered their protected groups.

They were all three WRONG.

The difference is that eventually, GHWB and W got laws passed, but it doesn't really matter.

We have shined a light on this very serious problem that has gone unnoticed or ignored for decades.

NOW we're getting some attention on the matter.

Already posted it - his exact words and the link to it.

Try to keep up.
I didn't see him claiming temperarily deferring immigration deportations for a certain group was unconstitutional, he said stopping deportations would be outside the powers of EO.

Are you sure you linked the correct article?

It is that simple. The complication comes in when liberal judges are trying to justify overruling the Constitution.
Well, it's back the original judge now, with the technical issue on the administrative rule he raised all cleared up, for further consideration.

"You remember that time Catsnmeters got humiliated on USMB when they claimed Obama never admitted violating the separation of powers act and altering US Immigtation Law was Un-Constitutional and authority he did not have ... and then easyt65 posted Obama's own words and the link ... and Catsnmeters still tried to twist and spin, save face, and still claim Obama and the courts were / are wrong?

Yeah, that was awesome

Remember when easyt65 said Obama claimed stopping deportations was not in his power...but that isn't what Obama did?

Do you know what the D in daca stands for?

Its getting worse and worse?

Before the blob ran for office and called Mexicans rapists, immigration was polling at 3%.

Outside of lending voice to bigotry, the situation has not gotten much "worse" than it was before the blob was here.

I think anyone here illegally should be deported if they don't have a bona fide indicator that they will be harmed if they were to be sent back.

There is a way to be humane about it. And then there is the GOP recommendations that are borderline genocide.
We should stop them before they come so we don't have to deport them.

Nothing's been cleared up. He just doubled down on stupid.

You do realize DACA stopped the deportations of these illegals affected by his Un-Constitutional EO, right?!

We most certainly need congress to enact a fair and balanced, diversified, immigration policy....!

Both sides are scared to do it.... or maybe there is an advantage politically by not doing it for both parties?

We need a stand alone bill with hours of floor time to debate and hours to introduce and vote on amendments and before all of that, non partisan research by the committee responsible for immigration best practices, and employment needs in this country.... Done legally! Lockdown the country for all others and have them go through the waiting list, if they qualify. Refugees can seek asylum from only predetermined designated countries where a citizens life is likely to be ended, killed... With yearly caps on how many.... Other countries will just have to come to the rescue of them if there are more than our cap.... Things like this need to be worked out in new legislation.

This is a serious issue..... I agree!

From health concerns with crossing through illegally, to the possibility of disappearing before their court date, to staying here after their visa expired... Mostly college students, and work visas.... Something like 60% of illegals in this country were here on visas, that expired..... So that system needs tightening up, for sure! Plus here illegally, business owners can exploit them.... Pay them less than minimum...under the table...etc... Instead of minimum wage.... Which holds down the earnings of citizens....

They can put their heads together, and do something meaningful in Congress.... It's a dereliction of duty imo, that they haven't!

We do need to up immigration quotas from all countries imo. We need more workers, boomers are all retiring now...this is it...and a good portion will be around another 20 to 25 years, buying things and eating out and vacationing....and using up health care services!

We need some more people, to fill their jobs, and then to service them too!

My other concern, is we need congress to button this immigration policy up! Where there is no room for the executive branch to move differently because congress left issues, unaddressed. Wishy washy crap, just leaves both sides arguing with each other every time a president changes....and to me, that's just bull crud we should not tolerate from our representatives who benefit, from division.

Trump didn't call Mexicans racists, you fucking moron. He said many of the ones they send here are rapists.

Outside of lending voice to bigotry, the situation has not gotten much "worse" than it was before the blob was here.
You lied about what he said, of course.

What "recommendations?"

Hey moron...that's the LAW.

So you claim DACA must go because of the law...but asylum laws can be ignored?
I am claiming nothing, moron.
I was responding to your ridiculous moonbat assertion that "we do not have open borders".
If anyone in the world can come in at any time by saying one little 6 letter word, whether they even know what it means or not, then the borders are OPEN.
Moron.

The only thing we need is for the federal government to enforce the laws we have on the books.
