Andrew Yang....who the fuck is Andy Yang....and why is he ahead of the blackish candidate Booker and the make believe Mexican..... Any answers?

New York senator Kirsten Gillibrand dropped out of the Democratic presidential race yesterday evening after failing to qualify for the third round of primary debates, slated for September 12. Tech entrepreneur Andrew Yang, meanwhile, will be one of ten Democrats on stage in Houston next month.

To qualify for the debate, candidates had to hit 2 percent in at least four public-opinion polls and secure 130,000 unique donors. Among the others not to reach the threshold for September were Colorado senator Michael Bennet, Hawaii representative Tulsi Gabbard, and Montana governor Steve Bullock.

While Yang managed to snag a spot in the lineup, his fellow non-politician Marianne Williamson failed to do so. As of Wednesday, the author and self-help guru still needed to reach 2 percent in three more polls in order to qualify. She already met the donor requirement.

Yang’s star has slowly been rising throughout the primary, going from little support to speak of in April to hovering around 3 percent in most polls this month. Though he had a rocky first debate, he was widely considered to have done well in the second round, standing out from the seasoned politicians on stage with his focus on policy solutions, specifically his universal-basic-income proposal.

His bid is still a long shot, of course, but it’s notable that he has been able to gain enough traction to consistently poll ahead of politicians like New Jersey senator Cory Booker and former congressman Beto O’Rourke — along with making the third debate ahead of sitting Democratic politicians. Perhaps his steady success is a sign that his no-nonsense approach is appealing to Americans sick of politicians’ double-speak, as well as to Democratic voters looking for a somewhat moderate option in a sea of progressive candidates.

As of now, and absent any surprise polling in the next two weeks, Yang will be joined on stage in September by Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, Cory Booker, Julián Castro, Amy Klobuchar, and Beto O’Rourke.

He is an actual self made billionaire that did not inherent is company from his father.

He polls well for many of the same reasons people liked Trump, he does not talk like a politician and he has “walked the walk”.

Where are you getting Yang is a billionaire?

Yang is estimated to have of net worth of $1 million, according to Forbes,[26] or, according to Newsweek, between $3 million and $4 million.[27]

It was a mistake, I was confused. I have already said so.

Booker and Beto are transparent con-artists trying to sell snake-oil to a savvy audience...

Better a guy that likes math and isn't afraid to buck the norms than two more in a long line of puffed-up elitist wankers...

Good riddance to bad rubbish...

Okay but confusing a million with a billion is a pretty big mistake.

There are so many Dems ruining they all get jumbled together.

same could be said for Steyer, but he didn't make the cut.
If you ever listed to Steyer and Yang you see how different they are. Elections aren’t just bought. You can buy exposure but in the end the people make the choice. Yang is an out of the box thinker and doesn’t play a lot of the political games. He is the type of candidate that makes our system better not worse. Steyer makes it worse

Hey Goofy, you really got a thing against successful families passing down their business in part or whole to heirs? So like what's your thing with the Royal Family of England then? And when Yang dies, should he just chuck his entire empire and wealth to public donations and liquidate it rather than pass it onto heirs?
I think you missed his point all together. It was about things earned vs things given. When crediting a persons successes and aptitude, earned outweighs given

The idea that if we just get Trump out of the way, that things are going to revert to some normal pattern, as biden seems to think, ignores so much of the wreckage that exists in D.C

“We [the Democrats] should never have lost to Donald Trump to begin with. We just manifestly should not have lost to him to begin with. But we did lose. And that is proof that we can lose again.” - beto
In my opinion Trump is ripping apart the fabric of our country in the way he is dividing us. Aside from policy it’s the rhetoric that is embarrassing and destructive and it’s time for it to stop. He needs to lose this election in a landslide. Don’t worry. Trump TV will bloom after he is out of office and all that divisive rhetoric will still be flooding the zone. At least it won’t be coming from the White House.

Soooo, then you are saying that:
  • We shouldn't credit Obama with JACK, because the guy was GIVEN a free education based on a fraudulent foreign student claim, was GIVEN a free ride in Chicago as a "social organizer," was GIVEN a free skate into the US senate based on political favors, was GIVEN a US presidency simply because a bunch of libs wanted to see a black dude, ANY black dude there even a no name lack luster do nothing POS like 1 term "senator" Obama, and is still GIVEN houses, mansions and vacations to this day.
  • We shouldn't credit Hillary with JACK because she was GIVEN a free skate into the governorship by dint of just marrying some guy, was GIVEN the First Ladyship by riding his coattails into the WH, then was GIVEN a free reign as a New York Senator even though she wasn't even from New York by ignoring Bill's dalliances to stay married to him for his political weight, then after losing the run against Obama, was GIVEN the Sect. of State job which she bungled to death, and finally was GIVEN the candidacy to run against Trump by the MSM which was blind to her flaws while supporting her at every turn, CNN which rigged the debate questions in her favor, the DNC which rigged it so that Bernie would lose to her no matter what, and finally by Comey and the FBI which lied and covered for her and shrugged on her numerous felonies just to keep her sorry ass in the race!
Trump on the other hand, BUILT a unique real estate empire on his own with the loan of a little bit of money from his dad to help get him started, no different than the state gives a student loan or a bank, and later inherited part of his father's company as the logical person to carry it forward, and parleyed that small Queens business into a multi-billion dollar, multinational real-estate, television, and ultimately a successful presidential run with everything slanted against him, partly with his own backing, yet somehow we should discount that success because of his father's former work?

:no_text11: I don't think so. :no_text11:

And yet everything I've said was all taken from independent TV journalistic documentaries on his life! All with live interviews with people who had direct experience with those people and events involved. Yet according to The Goofy Tapes, it is nothing more than a romantic, fictional fantasy.

I merely regard Trump as a great example of both the American Dream, and an American Hero. Private businessman builds a successful empire of wealth and fame. He is what most people aspire to attain. How refreshing.

When was the last time we had a self-made successful businessman in the WH who exemplifies what is still possible in America instead of a liar and a crook or some ass who goes around the world knocking and apologizing for it instead? Indeed, Trump puts America first rather than trying to see how America can "fit in."

Thank you. I'll take Trump.

:no_text11:

Just proves greatness runs in the family.

This romantic fantasy view you have of Trump and his accomplishments is simply fascinating, it has no basis in reality and yet you have made Trump out to be some sort mythical business man.
Trump The man born 2 feet from home plate and thought he hit a home run So successful he couldn't get an American bank to loan him a nickle

We do not have a self made businessman in the White House now

Andrew Yang....who the fuck is Andy Yang....and why is he ahead of the blackish candidate Booker and the make believe Mexican..... Any answers?

National Review ^ | 08/29/2019 | By ALEXANDRA DESANCTIS
