Nothing fertilizes and rejuvenates depleted soil and deadwood thicket like a good forest fire....the new growth in the area is almost unbelievable. The earth has been doing this for millions of years and will continue to do it until the Sun provides the last really big fire. Every square Kilometer of the Earth's great forest areas have burned at one time or another. It's a good way to keep the plant life from suffocating under the weight of layers and layers of dead growth.

Yeah but socialism is ghey. In theory, wonderful. In practice, a disaster. Most people know that which is heartening. Capitalism sucks too......its just less sucky than socialism. And after all, virtually everything in life comes down to suck vs suckier.

We've had days when the air is so heavy with the smoke it was difficult to breathe; it felt like you had to work at breathing it in, ingesting it instead of just inhaling the air. Even the climate change deniers were saying what the hell is going on.
