And the worst is yet to come

Nothing fertilizes and rejuvenates depleted soil and deadwood thicket like a good forest fire....the new growth in the area is almost unbelievable. The earth has been doing this for millions of years and will continue to do it until the Sun provides the last really big fire. Every square Kilometer of the Earth's great forest areas have burned at one time or another. It's a good way to keep the plant life from suffocating under the weight of layers and layers of dead growth.

Not at this level.

Obviously, the only thing that will save us is world socialism.
Since the unchewnching thirst and hunger of the free enterprise system created the crisis in the first place and since they refuse to accept responsibility for it and change their ways. You are probably correct, group efforts by all the peoples of the world will have to, I guess you could call that socialism. Everyone working together to solve a common problem, yes, sounds like socialism to me. Not as good as dog eating dog in the world of " free ". ( of responsibility ) enterprise. But it'll have to do.

Yeah but socialism is ghey. In theory, wonderful. In practice, a disaster. Most people know that which is heartening. Capitalism sucks too......its just less sucky than socialism. And after all, virtually everything in life comes down to suck vs suckier.

All these beanhead green guys think forest fires started a couple of decades ago. Firefighters, the ones who actually fight the fires, keep saying they never seen anything like this and they're right; climate change is affecting everyone and everything whether they realize it or not.

I live in Vermont and a week ago the air was thick with smoke from CA.
I live in Nebraska, I know the weather has been totally messed up because of smoke from the fires in Canada and the West. We've had days when the air is so heavy with the smoke it was difficult to breathe; it felt like you had to work at breathing it in, ingesting it instead of just inhaling the air. Even the climate change deniers were saying what the hell is going on.

Same here. Now we have humidity the likes of which I’ve never felt before.

Yes the humidity, yesterday and today actual temperature in the nineties feels like temperature 111. Super rains, 4 or more inches an hour flooded Omaha two days ago, I don't recall ever happening before.

The fire season is usually just getting started at this time. However, this year has been catastrophic in so many places. There is smoke from the fires in Russia over the north pole;

When the earth gets hit by a big CME, which many experts think is likely in this solar cycle or the next, our weakening magnetic field won’t protect us. The world’s electrical grid could be wiped out overnight. This is much more likely than AGW taking us out. When it happens, you’ll quickly forget about global warming as you freeze or starve to death.

Yes, and I believe the cycle will peak in 2024. I am old, I do not fear death, I am greatly concerned about how all the rest of the people on this Earth will react to their impending doom.
