Unfortunately, many so-called christians are fixated on abortion, to the exclusion of all other issues and common sense. For example, I've meet too many of these single-issue religious that will only vote for candidates that are against abortion to the extent that they don't care what the rest of their agenda is, or even if they're a criminal...so long as he or she is against abortion. However, the basic tenets make sense no matter where they come from. Be nice to one another. Create loving and protective families. Propagate and raise the children wisely.

Do you think it possible that from the beginning the gospels were deliberately weaponized fairy tales? They were written by people who witnessed the destruction of Judea, the Temple, their way of life, and the exile, enslavement and slaughter of hundreds of thousands of Jews.. Its not like the authors, masters of the written word, didn't know in advance that it was inevitable that the irrational and superstitious people in the nations of the Roman empire would take the fantastical stories literally..
